What if there is a place for artists (freelance, in-training, or professional) of all trades to experience and produce what they love? A place where members of the community can see, learn and purchase locally crafted art products. A place that brings emerging artists together. A place that promotes artistic creativity, opportunity and innovation. A place that holds community classes. And a place where ART is cool.
Studio Artivo in Milwaukee would be that place.
Imagine walking into a renovated building, you see an art shop to the right of the entrance. In that art shop you find products that were created by artist operating in our venue and hand crafted art products from other artists in the city. Imagine to the left of the entrance, there is an art gallery that just melts your heart when you walk through it. Now imagine walking to the front desk for a warm welcome and a private tour of the entire studio (dedicated/shared artist labs, meeting/class rooms, lounge, artist-client offices, a small stage, and space to encourages creativity). And on the tour, you might even get to see some of our resident artists at work!
With your help, we can create a venue that is not only about providing space for artist to use, but a venue that promotes creativity, innovation, and limitless opportunities for emerging artists.
The focus of this venue is to house full-time and part-time artists that need space to experiment and produce their artistic creations while, at the same time, providing space for learning, performances and events.
With your support, we can give Milwaukee a collaborative studio that many can use and visit.
This project consists of 5 phases and I hope it can be done with one Kickstarter funding campaign.
Phase 1. Seek legal advice, establish organization status, recruit and form a talented team that will move this project forward. Set plans and achievable goals. (After 99% pledged goal)
Phase 2. Secure a location in Milwaukee, WI that best fits the needs of specific artists (Photographer, Videographer, and Painter) and renovate the space. We hope to expand our venue to accommodate other types of artists in the future. (Post funding)
Phase 3. Recruit interested Artists. Interview potential employees. (Post funding)
Phase 4. Acquire studio equipment for potential artists. Acquire necessary IT systems to support the use of the space. (Post funding)
Phase 5. Hire staff and host a grand opening celebration.
Please join me and many other backers on a mission to raise over $525,000 to start a beautiful collaborative studio in the city of Milwaukee that promotes artistic creativity, collaborations, and learning.
Remember that this is an all-or-nothing KickStarter campaign... so let's do this together.
From the bottom of my heart. Thank you so much for your time and pledges.
