Jazu the Wanderer is the story of Jazu, a 12 year old boy from space, who arrives on Earth after his people, The Wanderers, are attacked by their mortal enemies, the Nectarus. Jazu crash lands in El Giza, Egypt in 1926 and makes fast friends and even faster enemies as he begins to search for a way home. The first three chapters of Jazu, which will be featured in the finished graphic novel, follow Jazu as he meets Asima, a curious Egyptian girl with a love for adventure, and Henry, a hot headed British lad. Henry and Asima have followed their parents to Giza for a risky archaeology dig. When a mythical amulet is discovered to be real, Jazu and his friends must work together to escape the pyramid and Giza before a team of greedy eyed cowboys can snag the amulet from them. With writing from Jaysen Headley (The Class) and full color artwork from L.W. Marks (Tattered) Jazu shows what people, even those from different backgrounds and beliefs, can do when they work together.

Who is Jazu for?
Jazu the Wanderer is an all ages comic, which means it’s for EVERYONE! The story is historical sci-fi and is meant to be diverse enough for both parents and children to enjoy together. Jazu is an adventure story with action, comedy and the important connections we make with people.
The finished book will have 6" x 9" dimensions, 100 pages and full color. In addition to the first three exciting chapters of Jazu, the book will also feature plenty of behind the scenes extras including concept art, pages from the script and interviews from the creators giving an in-depth look at the creative process.

Risks and challenges
As with all projects, real life has a funny way of getting in the way of things (Like Super Storms or Personal Emergencies). We currently have a production time line to adhere to, and are going strong and on the mark. We know the time line of all of our printers, and we have given ourselves a grace period on those (both with creation, and printing/shipping to us), but as we are all human, that's where the challenge will arise.
Jazu WILL be a web comic, the only foreseeable problem would be a delay to the April 19th premiere at Denver ComicFest and ultimately the delay at getting the product to you. Book One is inevitable, barring some act of god >knocks on wood<. We encourage our backers and supporters to follow this project and be involved with it coming to life.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
