About this project
This is my first major release since Indra's Web in 2009.
For this new album, I will be opening up my process--both to other musicians, and to fans, creating a collaboration that I feel will take my music to the next level.
In the three short years since Indra’s Web, the music industry has changed dramatically. Now, in order to make this music possible, I need your help.
In an ideal world, I would create music and give it to all of you for free. But I also believe that the people helping me make this album deserve to be paid for their efforts.
I am looking to raise a minimum of $10,000 so I can make this album everything I want it to be. There are also many incentives to share with you if I reach this goal.
However, should I reach this goal, I have developed a series of additional incentives including a vinyl press, a documentary, music videos and a special benefit concert depending on how far we get.
I understand that $10,000 may seem like a lot of money.
Renting studio time, hiring musicians, mastering artist, design artist, web design, publicist, printing CDs and vinyl adds up fast.
Unlike my previous albums, I will be working in full scale analog studios for this album.
Over the years, I have produced many other artists in this fashion but have yet to do one of my very own.
I have chosen to take this direction on the new album because I feel I am finally ready to work with artists on this scale. After years of being a studio engineer and bedroom producer, I feel like I finally have the skill set to work with artists on my own music in a larger more professional format.
Driftwood, Indra's web and Transmigration were all made in my home studio with minimal mix down in analog. Echoes, (the new album) will be tracked at many studios around the world giving this next album a truly live and organic feel.
Please help support my next album by pledging to some of the many rewards I have set up. I will be adding more prizes soon.
Hello friends... During the kickstarter, I want to do a little feature of each of the artists who are contributing to the new album...
Last week, I had the honor to record the lovely Sophie Barker on two songs for the upcoming album...
Sophie has graced many bands including Zero 7 and Groove Armada...
She is best known for her tune "In The Waiting Line" with Zero 7...
It has been a true honor to get to work with her and we are both very pleased with the work we did in Brighton. Can't wait to share with you all...
