Playstation 3 release date revealed!

Hey Everybody!

We're sorry it's been so long since our last update! Between working our butts off and being silenced by powers higher than ourselves, we weren't able to keep everyone in the loop while also keeping secrets :-P

Today's big news is that Cloudberry Kingdom is one of the titles included in the Playstation PLAY promotion! We'll officially be releasing on the Playstation 3 on July 30th!

We'll have an additional announcement next week to reveal the release dates for the rest of the platforms!

We love you all! Without you this game may not have even happened!

To be honest I feel let down by you guys. Looks like you are crapping on the Wii u faithful after selling your souls to ubi and Sony.....I have to agree with epmode and daniel all of this is leaving a rather nasty taste.

I saw this today! Sony's PLAY 2013 lineup is KILLER, contains 3 games I was gonna pick up anyway (Ducktales and Stealth Inc are must-buys too), and one I didn't know about beforehand but am hoping turns out to be charming and fun (the Ibb & Obb thingie). As much as I'm a console gamer firstly, and as much as I love my PS3, I'll admit - Cloudberry Kingdom will probably be the one game there I don't buy, seeing as how I'll get a Steam key for it thanks to this Kickstarter. :)

Still, happy to hear you guys got on PSN, and get the bump in hype & awareness afforded by being part of the PLAY promotion! I hope many more gamers will discover Cloudberry Kingdom on their Playstations now.

The "Higher Up" in this case was PlayStation. We can't just go around and ruin their release announcements for upcoming promotions :-/

Regardless of a having a publisher helping out or not, the platform has control over when you are able to make an official release announcement. We already had the UPlay talk with Ubisoft and it isn't required for Cloudberry Kingdom, so no need to worry about any of that.

If anybody has any other concerns I'd be glad to be straight up with you about them. There's no need for any misunderstandings to be floating around out there!

Yeah, this minor trend of games being picked up by publishers after collecting Kickstarter funds is kind of tacky. Oh well, live and learn.

How is this being announced for PS3 before PC? That's not what I backed. I'm glad you were able to get a deal with Ubi, but given it was crowd funded I don't know how you wouldn't be able to retain control of the message (like WL2).

Also, this title better not have that UPlay BS. I've avoided buying Ubi games because of it no matter how good they looked.

I thought the idea of us backing you was to make sure there weren't no 'higher ups' to silence you as far as being able to give us backers info about the project.

I'm starting to feel like I shouldn't have backed this in the first place with this type of roundabouts.
