      I have to admit while I like many parts of the game, having to upgrade cards via random chance (the only way to make Metris really viable) is frustrating and quite a turn off. I'd love to really play Metris but in order to be viable I have to upgrade all the cards (which would be a fine mechanic) which involves grinding games to get silver to buy packs and hope the cards there. It is beyond annoying to work on Metris and end up spending silver on a pack containing all 3 Vespitole cards when I don't want to upgrade Vespitole. Hopefully something about that can be changed because I feel like I'm just wasting time. Sad, because I really do like the mechanics of actual gameplay.

      You need a log, desperately. Watching all your troops die with no explanation is simply rage inducing. Often, it all ticks by so fast you have no idea what happened, beyond the computer screwing you.

      I really like the gameplay, I like the concept. A collectible competitive deck builder. I passed on my extra beta key to a buddy of mine and he's playing it too. I'm partial to Vespitole, but he's playing Metris and loving it. I really like the choices in packs. I would much rather buy cards (or upgrades) one at a time instead of getting a whole ton of things I don't want and can't do anything about.
      I have, on occasion, run into situations where I didn't like anything in a pack. Maybe an option for a "redraw" for an extra 25 or 50 gold? Just thinking.
      Can't wait for the campaign modes to open up!

      The winning faction will get a new custom hero skin for one of it's heroes. If you kicked in a $40, your starter selection determines your vote. If you kicked in higher we wanted to make sure you still had a vote, which is the survey question.

    7. Maken X on January 19, 2014

      I'm confused with the survey. What are the three options we are voting for?

    8. Fifth Column Games Creator on January 18, 2014

      @rob @hunter Good feedback, we're adding a new difficulty step to bridge those two.

      @ Hunter journeyman is a good level once you define the strategy you are trying to win with (win condition). It took me until I unlocked the next level up to be able to enough of the right cards or reduced cost cards to be competitive on journeyman. A bit of grinding on apprentice.
      Some people will need apprentice to be this easy so they can learn and grind for upgrades and new cards.
      But yes it is a big jump in difficulty.

      Massive leap in difficulty between Journeyman and Apprentice (echoing what others have said). Does there need to be a tier of difficulty between the two? I find Apprentice laughably unchallengingly easy and Journeyman impossible.

      Everyone who's left a comment should have a key. If you haven't requested one, you can absolutely do so at any time. We just didn't want anyone's experience interrupted over the weekend. <3

    41. Benjamin Gould on January 12, 2014

      @Barry Hart
      I see you are playing blue. Blue is a very fast faction, but suffers massively later game. Green, on the other hand, is the slowest faction, but is insanely powerful late game. In order to beat green, you need to kill them massively fast, or employ their own cards against them. If you can use cards to draw from their deck, you might find them easier to deal with. Amusingly, starting as green, I found blue my hardest match-up.

      @Cameron
      They stated once that the Kickstarter-exclusive hero is essentially vanity only, but I'm not sure if I'd believe that or not.

      So with only hours to go, I'm second guessing whether to bump my pledge up to the Gifter level for the Kickstarter-exclusive hero. It's an impossible decision without knowing who the hero is, and therefore whether or not I want to use them!
