About this project
What is Bullet Journal?
The Bullet Journal is commonly referred to as an analog lifelogging system, but it’s true strength lies in its ability to become anything that you need it to be. It’s the result of more than two decades of experimentation with productivity methods due to learning disabilities; over time, these disabilities wore off, but the effectiveness of the organizational methods endured. By incorporating digital principles into an actual, hand-held notebook, the Bullet Journal offers the flexibility of a blank page with the clarity and structure of a digital system.
Bulletjournal.com was launched just over a year ago to make this system freely available to all. It’s since been featured on Lifehack.org, Lifehacker.com, and Fast Company. The original tutorial video (above) has been viewed over half a million times, and unique communities have sprung up all over the Internet, communities that create and share their own mods and methods. When it comes to being more productive, the Bullet Journal has already proven itself to be an invaluable tool for many.
Why the Kickstarter?
From organizing to-do lists, managing schedules and meetings, tracking health and fitness goals, and everything in between, the Bullet Journal has the amazing ability to organize a very diverse range of data. “Bulletjournalists” are creating new and incredibly valuable tools for tackling everyday organizational challenges. These ideas could be helping significantly more people, but instead they’re getting lost online.
This Kickstarter campaign will fund development of the next version of bulletjournal.com: a stronger, smarter, more intuitive platform that will make it easy for users to find and contribute new methods to make the Bullet Journal system even more useful and effective. The new site will serve as a free library for the ever-growing catalog of productivity methods. The revamped site will also feature fresh tutorials, videos, reviews, resources, and so much more!

How Kickstarter works
(The following is taken from Kickstarter's info page.)
Kickstarter is a funding platform for creative projects. Everything from films, games, and music to art, design, and technology. Kickstarter is full of ambitious, innovative, and imaginative projects that are brought to life through the direct support of others.
Thousands of creative projects are funding on Kickstarter at any given moment. Each project is independently created and crafted by the person behind it. The filmmakers, musicians, artists, and designers you see on Kickstarter have complete control and responsibility over their projects. They spend weeks building their project pages, shooting their videos, and brainstorming what rewards to offer backers. When they're ready, creators launch their project and share it with their community.
Every project creator sets their project's funding goal and deadline. If people like the project, they can pledge money to make it happen. If the project succeeds in reaching its funding goal, all backers' credit cards are charged when time expires. If the project falls short, no one is charged. Funding on Kickstarter is all-or-nothing.Backing a project is more than just giving someone money, it's supporting their dream to create something that they want to see exist in the world.
Risks and challenges
The development of the new site will be collaborative with the backers. Locking down the first set of features for the new bulletjournal.com is the initial goal; based on the number of features, we can then establish a timeline. Sometimes certain features prove more difficult or time consuming than anticipated, which may impact the delivery. In this case, we will choose to either roll out promised features at a later date, or push back the launch.
The journals are being fabricated by a third party. In the case these journals will not be delivered on time, backers will be notified.
The NEW "unlimited" edition will be produced and ship after the limited edition. The amount of backers for the 'unlimited' edition can impact shipping time.
