Created by Tyler Kirkham and Mandy McMurray art by M. Oracle
Far beneath the mundane reality of our everyday lives, hidden within the echoes of our most famous legends, exists a world shrouded in secrecy. A world of magic and myth, where an ancient order of sorcerers act as guardians, protecting the world from the forces that seek to destroy life as we know it.
Passed down through a mysterious guild, they are magical warriors that carry within them the stolen Seven Powers of Creation and through them, hold back the tide of evil led by an equally powerful order of dark sorcerers called Warlocks. An evil that has threatened mankind for generations.
Unfortunately, only one Monarch now remains. In a desperate act of heroism, the last of the Monarchy, uses his last breath to pass on a mystical legacy to his unsuspecting grandson, initiating him into a world of darkness with a trial by fire; survive and save the world, or die and let the powers of darkness overtake it.
Now, young Andreas must embrace his power or be destroyed by the evil Cabal that hunts him. With the help of a renegade warrior-guardianess, they must face his grandfather’s murderer, her past, and his destiny, or lose the battle against evil for all time.
The Monarchy is set to be a series of 3 Graphic novels. The First one is 150 pages and has been in the works for about 3 years now. Mandy the co creator/writer and I have always wanted to work together at some point. years ago we were developing another story that never got off the ground. This Time we plan on making it work!
The artist M.Oracle has committed that time on this project, In the hopes of seeing it on the shelves in the near future. This being his first major comic project it is quite the undertaking. He has grown leaps and bounds while working on it though and I feel what is being produced is very special. His pages are beautiful and majestic in a way. When I first saw his work I knew there something special there that needed to be unleashed.
We all went into this knowing that until this book came out we wouldn't see anything from it. That is where Kick starter and you guys come in. Mandy and both have steady work, but Oracle is still breaking in and hasn't seen a much from this yet. I kick him something when I can, but its not what he is worth. What we are asking from you guys is to help us get this project to the next level! Which is getting it published and on the shelves. By doing that we can get some orders in and get some copies sold. I have been looking into publishing avenues for this book. Self publishing and soliciting though Diamond seems to be our best way to go at this point. We retain 100% of the story rights and have complete control.
Your contribution will go to the creators involved in the project. Also editing, Lettering, Pre press, Pre production, and Mainly book printing, and shipping. It will also go to making a proper website for the project. Our goal is to have this story strong enough to get made into a major motion picture. This project is nearing completion, but Oracle is really in need of some funds to be able to keep going on this project, and get it wrapped up.
Thanks for reading and we really appreciate your help and we can't wait for you to see this book!!
Tyler Kirkham was born and raised it Utah. He grew up loving art, and has always enjoyed drawing. He really found a love for comics in the early 90s when Image Comics came on the scene.
