We have not had a moment to thank you for supporting us in reaching our goal. It took us into the last seconds but we made it and it was during the last minutes of installation for the inauguration of the show. Emorys residency could not have gone any better. With the art opening, two artist talks, radio interviews, sleeping out in the jungle with a painting crew and painting a few murals out in autonomous communities, Emory has agreed to return in december for an international conference and to continue with the development of the Newspaper Zapantera Negra.
Below are some photos of the art opening and of the work realized in zapatista territory. We have still to gather all documentation of the encounter. THis is just a tiny sneak peak as we get a little better organized. If you have any questions please let us know. We also created a small catalogue where each and everyone who contributed was thanked! BUt a lot more soon of the show and the historic encounter that has been extended into December and January.
more soon PUEBLO!
