Since many of you live in the Philly area, I wanted to make sure to let you all know that LA CAMIONETA will be screening in the Philly area throughout the month of October!
Starting this weekend, we'll have a one-week theatrical run at The Colonial Theatre in Phoenixville (October 5-10), and later this month, I'll be presenting the film at the Bryn Mawr Film Institute (October 22).
Hope to see many of you there!
Love & thanks,
Dear LA CAMIONETA family,
I hope this finds you well and enjoying the beginning of summer. We've gotten a wave of great news this past week, and since happiness is only real when shared, it feels like the perfect time to follow up with a few updates!
This morning, both Stephen Holden of The New York Times and J Hoberman of ARTINFO joined the other champions of this little miracle of a film with two fantastic reviews. If you get the NYT print edition, keep your eye out for page C-12!
It's absolutely amazing to think that this film really got its first big push through this Kickstarter campaign. If you haven't already, please consider coming out to help us celebrate this week here in New York. We'd love to meet those of you we don't already know and thank you in person!
In addition to our NYC release, we have also recently confirmed one-week runs at the Downtown Independent in LA (June 7-13) and the Digital Gym in San Diego (July 2-8). It seems that interest is really beginning to generate in the film, and it's likely that more cities and venues will be announced soon.
If you'd like to join us this week in NYC, or know someone in the area who might, here's the link to tickets & the complete list of showtimes: http://lacamionetarerun.eventbrite.com/
