A prototype is a preliminary model of something. Projects that offer physical products need to show backers documentation of a working prototype. This gallery features photos, videos, and other visual documentation that will give backers a sense of what’s been accomplished so far and what’s left to do. Though the development process can vary for each project, these are the stages we typically see:
Proof of Concept
Explorations that test ideas and functionality.
Demonstrates the functionality of the final product, but looks different.
Looks like the final product, but is not functional.
Appearance and function match the final product, but is made with different manufacturing methods.

Bring your Sound to Light
We all love music. The organized pattern of rhythmic vibrations soothes our souls. Today's stage lighting seems to emphasize certain portions of songs. The trouble with these lights- they're not musical!
Enter Synth-a-Seesia. Instead of using noise or percussion as our guide for color, we use pitch. Just as each musical note is assigned a specific frequency of sound, we also assign each a specific frequency of light. Simply put: each note has its own color!
Combining the frequencies of sound with light is an awesome experience. Playing music is more fun, and becomes more powerful. And the more we play with it, the more we come to associate each color with its matched frequency. Just as certain note intervals pair well together into a chord, the same color intervals do just the same!
First up: the Synth-a-Seesia
The main component is the Synth-a-Seesia box. This is essentially a Midi-to-Lights converter. Plug your Midi controller into the Midi input, connect your lights to the Lights output, and you're ready to rock.
Then come the lights.
We start with a glow box. This box glows a single color, determined by the spectrum above.
Next up is the Light Stick. This can take multiple colors at once, depending how fast one can play the keyboard! It also gives the really satisfying feeling that your music hand is shooting a space-phaser.
Last, but certainly not least, is the Light Helix. It plays colors that swirl up a holographical helix. Once you use one, you'll realize that the musical space age has begun.
The cool thing about these lights- they can all be connected together into a chain. When you plug your Light Stick into your Light Helix, the color beam will travel from one into the other! You can even connect them in whichever order you'd like. Check out the video below to see what a full chain might look like:
Setting up your Synth-a-Seesia is simple. Below is a video showing how it's done:
Bluhous (noE) is the company that brings you Synth-a-Seesia and all associated lights. The possibilities are endless; Synth-a-Seesia lays the foundation for a whole generation of musical lighting and instrumentation. We hope you share the vision!
What if I'd like more than one of each light?
Add the following amount to your order:
$40 for Glow Box, $60 for Light Stick, $70 for Light Helix
How many lights can be hooked up to one Synth-a-Seesia?
Each Synth-a-Seesia can control up to two Glow boxes, and up to two Light Sticks/Light Helix. In other words, you can control two Light Helix and two Glow Boxes. If you'd like to use more lights, please send us a message!

Risks and challenges
The main risk we face is ensuring Synth-a-Seesia works with all keyboards available. Fortunately, it has been tested on most name-brands already. With enough support, we will test even further!
Certain minor production obstacles must still be overcome. For example, we must fix a timer-interrupt problem with our microprocessor. However, we are confident that our production models will work as our finished prototypes: like a dream. A very vibrant and colorful dream with glorious musical sounds.
Here's your key-to-light box! Includes a Synth-a-Seesia module.
Note: no lights are included. Be sure to order this only if you're comfortable with splicing wires for your own lights.
