No, we're not dead.

Hi everybody!

It's been a long time since I've posted an update, so here goes...

Things on this end are still progressing smoothly but slowly.  I have been dividing my time since November writing scripts for two different TV shows, one for Discovery Channel and the other for History.  It's taken up most of my time, and when you throw the holidays into the mix, it's meant a slowdown for Targa.  Fortunately, the second of those two scripts gets handed in this week, so there's about to be a lot more time on my hands to work this project.

But there is good news!  I have made a couple of footage-sharing deals with other shooters who were covering the race for specific teams, and we should have a good amount of footage rolling in over the next few weeks from a few other sources.  Most notably Moto-Man (www.motoman.tv) and Hume Intermedia (http://www.humeintermedia.com/).

I've also made some in-roads with the folks who filmed the race for Targa, and there is a good chance that we'll be able to get some footage from them as well.  That may take longer to get, since their priority is to finish the race coverage show before they start digging for footage of the FM cars.  That said, everyone was very friendly and I'm optimistic that we can get some additional footage from them.

The script is mostly written, and we're digitizing in the 100+ hours of footage that we shot into our editing program (Avid MC5.5).  We should be able to jump into the edit in the next few weeks.  Once the edit gets started, updates should get a lot more regular.

In the meantime, I'd like to wish everyone a happy 2012.  Up here in Maine, my NC is hiding in the garage under a cover without a battery.  If you happen to live somewhere warm and sunny please put the top down and log some miles for me...
