Have a question?
Ah. Okay. That, too, is helpful information! XD
maybe I my last post was a little confusing. I did enter my email address at the USPS tracking site. They then informed me about the updated status by email.
Oh! Thanks, Dominik! You're the first person to inform me of that very important piece of information.
I do not know if other countries do the same thing but we now know we need to add "What is your daytime phone number?" on all future kickstarter surveys so that we can include that information on the shipping label. Hopefully, that will prevent unnecessary returns!
I'm also very glad to hear you love the lapel pins! XD
I just received my Pins yesterday. This is great quality, I love it.
FYI: USPS informed me about he customs clearance in Germany two days ago & delivery yesterday. This tracking works better than expected.
That's awesome, Akira. :-D
We enjoy hearing everyone's stories. Thank you for letting us know.
Just received my pins today (in Canada), and I have to say that I am REALLY impressed with the quality. My wife has already stolen one from me, might have to go hide the others.
Thanks a lot
Dominik, unfortunately no. The USPS "tracking" number is actually just a US customs number. It only tracks the package while it's within the US border. Once it leaves the US we can no longer track it. I will PM your USPS number.
Is there any way to get a tracking number for international backers or any estimated delivery date for Germany?
Thanks, Eric. We really appreciate your feedback and we're happy to hear that you are pleased with the lapel pins (I'm partial to the Charlescomm wings myself despite the fact that I'm a huge Stanley fan ;-) . I believe Rob is planning to post an update very soon.
For anyone who reads these comments: Everyone who responded to the Lapel Pin KS survey all donor rewards have been shipped out. Thank you! :-)
Just got my pins as well. I'm blown away by how vibrant they are. The Faq crest and Charlscomm Wings especially stand out imo. Also, might want to put an update out for people to know they are shipping ;)
Just got the pins - they look great! Now I just need to pop a display case...
Thanks, Logan! We were equally pleased with how well they turned out.
My "Lots of Sects" pins just popped a few minutes ago. Booping love the quality.
Thank *you*, Paul. Glad to hear that you are pleased with them.
Received my "lots of sects" yesterday... Thanks for delivering such a quality product so quickly!
Glad to hear it, John Munro. Hope you're pleased with them.
I'm still working on the "Lots of Sects" tier so for those who are still waiting yours will be coming soon!
Received my "Lots of Sects" in Canada today.
Far ahead of the March estimate !
That's awesome, John! Thanks for letting us know! :-)
Got my pin today. It looks great.
Thanks! Once I get my cabinet done I will be sure to send you some pictures.
@Matthew I hadn't planned on making the Illustrator files available, but I will take that as a request. Let's release those under a Creative Commons 3.0 NC-SA license. Links will be up soon, sent via a backer update. I'm jealous of your MAME cabinet already. :)
Everyone else, thank you so much for making this project a big success!
Yay! I can't wait to get the digital art - does it happen to be vector? I am making a MAME cabinet right now and am thinking of doing an Erfworld theme.
@Arbo Sorry, the designs already went through the proofing process and we approved them. Full disclosure: they've been paid for, too. But I kiiiiiinda spent next month's rent and bills money on them. So, y'know...it's a very good thing this project worked out. O_o;
Oh man... is it too late to ask for the Stanley design to be changed to the epic, full-body banner we see featured here?
For some reason I thought it would look like that and it was the one I was looking forward the most to pin to my backpack.
I guess it depends on which way the wind is blowing. ;-)
Just a quick observation, but isn't the 'stanley-and-star' reversed from what you normally see in the comic? I thought the head was usually on the left side of the star, looking right.
I for one fully support the new Kicktraq Mathamancer.
@Bryan And that's more than fine. We're really happy that this smaller project worked out so well and we can get the pins made.
Kicktraq's optimism aside, I'd say this has mostly topped out, since people are likely waiting for the Book 3 one. Especially since you you have over 4 times your goal.
@Mark Hehe, yeah. Kicktraq is great but their "trending towards" figure is an insult to math. I should have an insane Mathamancer named Kicktraq or something.
I'm not sure if that kicktraq is accurate; that curve is clearly a decaying exponential, not linear.
Anyway, glad to see this is going so strong. Big fan of Erfworld, been with it since the beginning (came in from Giant in the Playground). I'll be adding these pins to my chainmail coat!
@Rob Thanks, sorry for failing to read the home page >.< Both the first two look very spiffy!
@Doug Yeah we'd been pretty excited about it. We will make that happen someday, somehow, through somebody. :-/
@Paul We'll be revealing one of the designs each day of the project, here and on the website. Charlescomm wings added!
@Paul While not as clear as the example pin, the project image on the front page is segmented to display all 7 crests behind the text. I agree though, having all 7 in a layout that is easy to see would make it much easier for people to know what they are getting.
Backed at $10 right now because I have a question... Can we see demo images of the emblems? That would make it easier to decide on which tier, and which emblem if applicable.
I must say, a model of Gobwin Knob would have been absolutely epic of a top-level reward.
@Brenden Buying more pins to have on hand (and getting a good quantity break) is definitely priority 1. We are trying to keep the projects separate, yeah. But the big project that's coming kinda scares me with how much we need to raise. That's the only reason I'm considering it. Having the Book 2/Book 3 project fail would be very bad indeed.
I'll betcha my pledge that non-hero pledges exceed $2400 before this project goes public tonight :)
My personal opinion, you shouldn't lower your goal for the Book 3 Kickstarter. Whatever extra you gain from this should go towards more pins, and then set the rest aside as a nest-egg for future "complications" like there have been with some past projects. We love this comic, and knowing that extra funds will go towards establishing a comfy baseline to cover for hiccups will be a huge relief to me.
Ah, gotcha! I've been continually confused by the artist situation, but that helps!
Xin's not leaving Team Erfworld, she just has a very limited availability. David will be drawing future books, though Xin will keep illustrating Book 0. She's also doing some design work and spot illustrations, as on this project.
Maybe this isn't the best forum for this question, but I'm a little confused that it's Xin doing the sketch. Do you basically have two permanent artists now? =)
Part of the reason we did this as a separate project is that the Book 3 project had to be delayed. Proxy Army is not going to be able to provide what would have been our top tier reward for that (a model of Gobwin Knob) so we have to look elsewhere for something equally cool to offer. We have some plans, but they might or might not pan out. If we can't find something in the next few weeks to fill the bill, we'll launch without it. But I am not sure we'll hit our goals. Having a big response to this one may help us reduce our target for that one. We'll see.
Also, according to Kicktraq, we are trending towards $25,000 (http://www.kicktraq.com/projects/1554093685/erfworld-battle-crest-lapel-pins/). Reminds me of this XKCD: http://xkcd.com/605/
I've been saving for the book 3 kickstarter... When does that go live? :P
I must say, I'm starting to have an obsession to collect every badge for the Erfworld forums, including the Tool badge. And I love getting more excuses to throw money at Erfworld.
Stretch goal: Fund book 3? :-)
Even for OUR fans, this is pretty damned impressive support. You guys all mean the world to us.
