It's a simple project. We want to make lapel pins for all the factions in Erfworld. It's not a huge amount of money, but we don't have it.
But that's what Kickstarter is for, right?
So we're setting a modest goal and only a one-week campaign. Please help us get these made, and you can get one of them (or the whole set) for yourself. Designs will be: Transylvito's Bat, Faq's Gwiffon, the Stanley-and-Star, Wanda's Decrypted Skull, Parson's Hamstard-and-pizza-stains, Jetstone's Royal Radish, and the gold wings of Charlescomm.
The pins themselves are soft enamel on metal, 1.25 inches wide cloisonne pins with butterfly-clutch backing. They're really going to be beautiful. We have designs by Xin Ye for all of them, and we'll be releasing one design each day of the campaign. Here's the first, for Transylvito:
Here is design #2:
Backers at all pledge levels will receive downloads of the high-res versions of each pin design, plus badges at Erfworld.com, forever identifying them as supporters of this project.
(This is not our big 2014 Kickstarter to print Book 2 in hardcover and fund the art for Book 3, it's just a quick little project of its own.) As always, thank you for making Erfworld possible.
Risks and challenges
The pledge levels are streamlined, to simplify fulfillment (sorry, no add-ons this time!).
All designs are with the manufacturer (a reputable US company) and proofs have been approved. We've seen sample pins (pictured above) so we know what we're getting and that it will be high quality. Turnaround is two weeks.
From our experience with fulfilling previous Kickstarter rewards, we've developed the capacity in-house to fulfill these orders quickly and accurately. The site badges may get held up a bit, depending on the timing with the launch of our new site.
We've tried to make this one as risk-free as possible.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
