My kids love the weeroll. My almost 3 year old loves giving her 9 month old baby sister a ride in the train configuration. Thanks so much.

    2. Alice Quan on February 16, 2013

    3. Bjorn Huysman on February 14, 2013

Sigh, that $55(import+tax) was for 1 unit... had to pay the same amount again today for my seccond unit

so thats 110$ in import and taxes for a $244 pledge

    4. Bjorn Huysman on February 13, 2013

As an international backer i received my units today... had to pay $55 on taxes and can pick-up my units tommorow...

My two year old grandson received his today and obviously loves it. He uttered his longest sentence to date - "I ride my bike, go to store, get bananas and make smoothie". How cute is that!
My 4 month old granddaughter also received hers today. She's to young to use it yet, but her dad (who is a mechanic) was really impressed.
Thank you so much for creating a great toy and bringing joy to the little ones.

RECEIVED!! thank you!! My daughter immediately filled the cart with her "babies" and has been pushing it around the house NON-STOP. I didn't realize how QUIET it was going to be on our wood floors. I can't even hear it... coming when she runs it into my shins!! :)

Amazing work! thanks again for all your efforts.

    7. Matthew Williams on February 4, 2013

Woo hoo! Both of mine shipped today. My twins were born on 1/7/13, so it'll be a while before they're active on them, but I'm very excited to see them myself. They'll make a great birthday present down the road! Congrats on shipping!

    8. Derek Perkins Creator on January 29, 2013

Thanks for the comments, Daniel. For those still waiting, about 70 more kits went out today, so about 1/4 of our total shipments have been made now. If you were on our high priority list, you should receive a notice within 24 hours that your kit went out. There were a handful that won't go out for a few days. Non-priority shipments should begin shipping on monday. We're sorry about the delay, we have been putting as much pressure as we can on the warehouse to get these kits out. We never imagined it would be this long. We encourage people to post their comments here once they receive weerol. We will also be sending out a voluntary survey in a few weeks.

Got mine today and I love it !!! my baby can't play with it yet (10 months old) but she was so happy to see it. Solid construction, ease of use and no sharp edges. My friends already asking where I bought it from when I posted it on Facebook.

The only cons I see regarding the product is if the wood can be polished or clean better. When I open it, I gave it a thorough wipe because I kind of felt some residue either dust, dirt, or wood particle.

Keep calm and Roll on !!! :)

      I'm really excited and can't wait :-)

      Thx for the update

    12. Derek Perkins Creator on December 19, 2012

      Hey guys,
      @Bjorn Huysman, @Peter Young

The Weerols are arriving at a warehouse in Los Angeles right around December 28-Jan 2. A team of kitters will pack and ship all our kickstarter rewards within a few days of their arrival at the warehouse. I Will not see them any quicker than most of you. In fact if you live in southern California you'll get your hands on them before me. Because a 3rd party is handling the shipments, I have very limited control over timing, or prioritizing some over others.
Domestic shipments will likely use UPS ground service, international shipments will be USPS international priority.

    13. Bjorn Huysman on December 19, 2012

How will the units be shipped? Usps? Or an other way?

Any idea how long it would take to ship when the weerol's arive at your doorstep?

    14. Peter Young
      on December 14, 2012

Would it be possible to ship international order out first, he said hopefully, as they have further to travel?
In theory, this would reduce the overall time it takes all the pledges to arrive at their destination.
Thanks for all the hard work getting these made and shipped.

    15. Bjorn Huysman on December 6, 2012

how are the shiping preparations comming along???

secretly i'm stil hoping you can ship units mid december

    16. Derek Perkins Creator on November 18, 2012

Our best estimate is that it could take 10 days for certification. We are having 10 samples certified for compliance with over 15 international standards, so there is lot of testing to do. We're looking at the last week of November at the earliest. We'll keep you updated when we have any changes in status.

    17. Bjorn Huysman on November 17, 2012

      any news on certification?

    18. Derek Perkins Creator on November 10, 2012

      Hi Yukihisa,
Thank you for the suggestion. The orders are being fulfilled by a third party, and I will look into whether a personal message can be included somehow.

    19. Yukihisa on November 10, 2012

      Hello Derek Perkins,
I have one suggestion. My nephew is 0 years old. I give a nephew weerol with a Christmas present.
Is a message attached if possible? It is just a "Mary Christmas and A Happy New Year!". The details of the message entrust you. It does not need the gift card. even as for the memo pad is ok... It is OK by the handwriting of the Perkins family. There is no need for a gift package. How do you think? Thank you!

    20. Derek Perkins Creator on November 9, 2012

      just posted, Bjorn!

    21. Bjorn Huysman on November 9, 2012

One week further... Any updates.. I don't want to nag but I like weekly updates....

    22. Derek Perkins Creator on November 1, 2012

We are submitting samples for certification this week, and may receive certification as soon as the end of next week. We will have some more updates soon!

    23. Bjorn Huysman on November 1, 2012

any ubdates about CE and ASTM certification

    24. Bjorn Huysman on October 25, 2012

mid december, that leaves 2 weeks at best to make it over the ocean... Hope it works, but doubt is. Which isn't a problem ofcourse.

how will it be shipped? hope you label is as commercial sample on which we don't have to pay any import taxes

    25. Derek Perkins Creator on October 23, 2012

Bjorn, We will do our best to get these out as soon as practical . Shipping to Europe will take longer, so please keep this in mind. Our latest update is that we are approximately a week behind our schedule. We have some hurdles ahead as we submit Weerol for CE and ASTM certification in the coming weeks. Our best estimate is that Weerol will be ready to ship in mid- December.

    26. Bjorn Huysman on October 23, 2012

      this weekend.

Safety first!!! I like the fact that you are studying safety issues during the production procedure! Please first of all make it safe and the good looking! My 3rd baby is close to come. With love from Greece!

@Derek Can you provide some idea of the dimensions of the weerol?

    33. Klaus Mehofer on September 13, 2012

Weerol will also land in Austria!

    34. Lauri H on September 11, 2012

Weerol is going to invade Finland! \o/ Backer reportin in =)

    35. Derek Perkins Creator on September 11, 2012

Rick, not a problem. This was just an informal survey to estimate our production numbers. When I send out a final survey after the campaign closes, we can get all the specifics for your order correct. in your case, just skip this current survey.

    36. Rick S
      on September 11, 2012

I've pledged for two Weerol kits and a Rok'nrol but one of the Weerol kits is going to a different location and I want a different print option for it. There's nowhere on the survey to do that.

    37. Derek Perkins Creator on September 3, 2012

Bjorn, Yes. $244 covers your pre-order and shipping to Belgium.

    38. Bjorn Huysman on September 3, 2012

I chose the 84$ pledge, and pledged 244$ thats enough for 2 weerol's and one rockandroll???

    39. Derek Perkins Creator on September 1, 2012

Backer Bjorn, we've been waiting for you. Fall in! You've been chosen for our elite Viral Campaign Unit! Dismissed! =)

    41. Bjorn Huysman on September 1, 2012

Backer from belgium reporting for duty... My almost 2y old (she will be on 31st december).

    42. Derek Perkins Creator on August 31, 2012

      Thank you lucas!

We really appreciate that, however I want to let everyone who backed us early-bird that adjusting your pledge level to our updated shipping costs is not required! Your early support helped us build momentum and all we ask is that you show Weerol to your friends, or even better your local toy store! For those who want to help us cover the higher shipping costs, you have our deepest gratitude!

Thank you for going the extra mile to help us with our launch!

Thanks for publishing the International Pledge Levels page. I pledged at the $189 early bird level and added another $20 for shipping to Switzerland (in addition to the $30 i had already added).

Cedric, Alex, Matthew and Angel, we LOVE to hear this kind of enthusiasm for the product! it's the type of motivation we need to face the long hours in the weeks ahead completing our packaging design, instruction manual and website enhancements. THANK YOU for your heartfelt compliments!

    46. Angel Destounis on August 14, 2012

Great idea Derek! I have 2 childs 5y & 3y and in Oct i expect the 3rd one! I think that this toy will cover all the team!!! I am excited and i have backed with no 2nd thought. From Greece with Love!

    47. Matthew Williams on August 14, 2012

Excited to just have backed your project @ $209 for our twins that we're expecting in early January! You've knocked it out of the park. Brilliantly designed and endless future possibilities. Embracing the Maker in us all with such an open design is tremendously smart. I'm more than happy to be in at the very start of what I believe to be a very successful business and product line.
