WHAT IS SUBDUE?
SUBDUE is a card game of capture and control which takes place in a legendary universe where Kings and their Dragons fight for Castles supremacy.
Unfold your strategy in an intriguing and fun-to-play game with up to 6 players in free for all or cooperative mode.
HOW TO WIN IN SUBDUE?
To achieve the desired victory, you must be the first to control two Castles with your full army or achieve the highest score at the end of the game.
You need clever tactics and daring conflicts to SUBDUE your opponents.
Set-up time - 3 minutes
Playing time - 30 minutes
For 10+ aged players
Contains 108 cards (size: 63.5 x 88.9mm) for up to 6 players
The secret playing cards are placed facedown in a row at the center of the game table.
The special cards are placed in a pile next to the secret cards.
Each player chooses randomly half (6) of his playing cards as a starting hand.
Each player takes his inactive King army card and places it in front of him.
Ready to play!
EACH PLAYER TURN
1. Play: Play a card either directly from the hand or after an exchange with one card from secret cards on the table (obligatory stage)
2. Expansion: Developing the army (king and dragons) and purchasing special cards (optional stage)
3. Magic: use Magic special cards to affect the status of own King or other players Kings (optional stage)
4: Conflict: attack adversaries to gain control over Castles and use Conflict special cards (optional stage)

THE TEAM BEHIND SUBDUE
We are a small team of only two persons, with a strong dedication to bring SUBDUE to life. Although it may look like a small project, a lot of efforts were put into the heart of SUBDUE for the last two years. Having budget limitations for publicity, the fundamental idea of our work was to deliver a great quality gameplay & illustrations that will become a marketing force in itself once the campaign is launched.

I'm a finance guy with a passion for game design, always willing to express my ideas and positively impact people around me.
A dear person introduced me to the world of board games many years ago. One day I realised that expressing my playfulness by creating card games would bring hapiness to people. So I started to study intensively game mechanics and then began to work on SUBDUE.
This is my first game release and I'm confident that I have delivered a great game. It combines elements that always inspired me: fun play, cleverness, minimal design and fantasy. It took more than 2 years to set-up & test the rules and adapt the illustrations to final rulebook and concept.
Diana Stanciulescu - Game illustrator
Diana is an illustrator - designer - architect: she turns ideas and stories into smart and beautiful images, objects and buildings. She works with people from all over the world from her home in Bucharest, Romania. Besides passion, enthusiasm and killer drawing skills, Diana is a graduate in Architecture and Finance.
Diana brought great inspiration and put a lot of work into the design and illustrations of SUBDUE. As our first project together, we had a great collaboration and became friends with the certain promise to work again for any future ideas.

This campaign was initiated to bring to life and deliver a great game to the world.
SUBDUE is ready anytime for printing. The supplier (Makeplayingcards.com) provides excellent quality for the cards and the box (Note: final design of the box may be slightly different than what is currently shown).
It will be delivered everywhere in the world and shipping costs are included in the pledged amount.
As a personal project for which I deeply care, I am committed to provide an excellent product and experience to all backers.
