You guys are actually giving crowd funded companies a bad name.
How hard is it to even communicate there won't be any more desks delivered.
At least give us some idea if the desk will still be coming at all or not. At leastwe can look elsewhere for a new desk then.

Well, I've been holding out just a little bit of hope and as a limited edition backer I was really praying that this campaign wouldn't fold. Today I am officially giving up on all hope that I would receive my desk. I really think this could have been one of the better kickstarters of all time but David and company have let us all down. Whether internal issues or not, they haven't put the customer first once. I will be very vocal about what has transpired here and make sure these guys never take advantage of anyone ever again.
They will have to live with what they've done and karma is a bitch.

Gor future reference, I would NOT back any projects by David Wrobel. I spent approx $600 to this project (backing, purchasing, and shipment) only to end up with nothing. I will be making this well known to as many people on kickstarter! David Wrobel has no customer skills and is a liar and a cheat.

I have also paid $117 nearly a month ago and still have not gotten my desk. What gives? I will have to file a paypal claim if I don't get my desk shortly. You have 45 days to get your money back from shipping and I don't plan to let this go longer.

@Matt - unlikely. The PSU was 2 months old. Also, PSUs give pretty clear signs when they're about to die. I had none of them.
Re: Monitors - I'm not using that outlet now, obviously, but I had to test it to see what happened. The fact that my monitors didn't die makes me think its a grounding problem.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say what happened with @Jeremiah Barnes was a coincidence. My guess is that power supply was most likely on its last leg, and moving the computer around because of installing the new desk / testing probably jostled whatever the soldering joint was that was failing to fail. I've seen computers hit with lightning surges and the PSU quite literally blew sparks out the back and the motherboard survived. Incidentally, always buy *quality* surge protectors - there's a reason the $10 ones at target are $10.
On a related note: why would you plug your monitor into an outlet that you suspected to be bad? Yikes. That's a great way to start a fire. Please be careful :)

I was also not joking about the desk being in good condition. The underside has some weird bumps but despite the box looking like someone attacked it with a machete, the desk is perfectly fine.
Also, I got a cupholder!

I'm not joking. It may have taken other components with it, but I won't know until next week when my new mobo arrives. I suspect it is not a common issue or someone else would have said.
It may just have bad grounding instead of overvolting, because my monitors work fine on that outlet, but it killed my PC. Eventually I'll go buy batteries for my multimeter and find out.
The audio jacks and LEDs work, but I haven't tested any other outlets with a computer because I am afraid (and also currently my computer is dead). I haven't been able to test my USB ports for the same reason.
Like I said, this has got to be a one in a million fluke, because if you everyone else's computers were bricked then I think the comment section would have said something by now.
