Keep up the good work! Only you know the time you need to finish the game properly without hurting yourself so, you have my full support! ^^

I don't mind the pace. don't kill yourself, huh? always good to hear from you, though, you put words in good shapes.

I'm thinking that some people might go crazy balancing along the narrow walkways seen in clip b. Maybe you've already thought of and implemented this, but I might recommend an option to configure a button that keeps you from walking over the edge, but only allows you to move slowly. If you push any button that activates a quick maneuver while the steady walk button is held or toggled, it cancels the steady walk safety feature.

Don't worry about feeling rushed - I can only speak for myself but I'm waiting patiently. Part of why I backed this game was your vision. I trust that, so do what you need. It'll be done when it's done.

take all the time you need to make a GREAT game! the game is looking fantastic, keep at it! GO FIGHT!

    14. Rehevkor on August 7, 2014

Awesome update! The game looks amazing. I particularly like being able to bait enemies into hitting each other. Using your own mobility as a weapon is a nice touch.

And yeah, take all the time you need. I'm good with waiting; you've done a great job keeping us informed so I don't think anyone is going to worry about the game taking longer.

While watching clip a I ended up recalling footage of Hyper Light Drifter, which I've also backed, and which feels like a not-so-distant cousin to this, and contrasting the gameplay of the two. clip a felt like the way I went through a lot of the parts of Dark Souls I've played... gotta fix up the gaming PC so online mode works and start over with a non-borked build- but I digress. The slow and methodical take with a focus on maneuvers matches my gameplay style. I imagine there's gonna be that Bell Gargoyle oh-shit-playtime's-over moment of panic eventually, though. (Going back to Dark Souls, who thinks the Capra Demon's easier than the Bell Gankers' tag-team?) The more I see of each game [RtU & HLD], the more interested I am in exploring their similarities and differences. Things look cool. Thanks for checking in and hope your back feels better. I don't expect a Twitter/Facebook feed. You're too busy working on the game, alone. Also, I think it'd clash with the kooky recluse persona you've developed so far.

    16. James Douglas on August 7, 2014

take all the time you need bro, it's definitely worth it.

Great to see the game is still progressing, it's looking very good!

Take your time, there's no rush after all! And yeah, i'm trying tu cure myself from that disease myself!

    18. Sam Krechevsky on August 7, 2014

glad to hear from you again. it looks better with every update; keep it up. i'm already excited for what you've got in store for us next.

      thank you.

    19. Zachary Comeaux on August 7, 2014

Hopefully someone will come up with a cure for that nocturnal disease. It's so inconvenient.

The game's looking awesome. Keep it up.

    20. Titanas on August 7, 2014

Don't worry about the people telling you to rush man, there are a lot of us I'm sure that just are glad you gave us a neat update and are showing progress.
You are doing a great job!
I'm pretty sure any angst that comes from any of us is just so hyped for the game to come out,
I for one am willing to wait as long as it actually comes out.
Don't want to see another Borken Age happen >.> (misspelled on purpose)

    21. zacH on August 7, 2014

      Ornstein's set confirmed? :D

I was wondering, there's still going to be a degree of knockback/visual indication of damage done to our character, right? Besides a shield flash or a sprite flicker, I mean. I could probably look at some of the older videos and check this, but watching you roll around the robots like a badass made me think about how nimble the protagonist is... and how getting hit by an enemy attack might require some extra animation to show she is to some degree outmatched by the things she's facing. Just thinking out loud. :) I know knockback in particular is tricky when it messes up platforming sections, so everything you implement must be carefully considered. Looking forward to seeing how it all turns out.

I'm so pumped for this game to come out... take all the time you need! Money well spent, as far as I'm concerned.

    22. Ian Chamberlin on August 7, 2014

This is looking great. Don't worry about being in a hurry hurry, just keep doing your thing man.

This game looks to be a mountain of fun in its due time... I wonder what secret soundtrack you might be keeping from us in these regions, the previous bits we've heard are excellent...

    32. PaulloDEC on August 7, 2014

I hope the game is as much fun to play as your updates are to read. Your updates are lots of fun to read.

I love so many of the design decisions I can see in these clips.

Please take all the time you need - if the game experience (narrative/progression, feel of the controls, large doses of catharsis) hangs together as well as the aesthetic then this is gonna be a stealth classic.
