A Jesper Has Joined The Party!

Posted by Airship Syndicate (Creator)

Hi Backers!

Exciting news for the music lovers among our community! Legendary composer Jesper Kyd, best known for his work on Assassin's Creed, Hitman, and of course... DARKSIDERS II, is joining Clark Powell on the soundtrack for Battle Chasers: Nightwar!

Jesper is a BAFTA-award winning composer, and someone we love working with!

To celebrate the occasion, we're releasing the FIRST TWO of Jesper's Battle Chasers tracks, along with a new track from Clark Powell, on our Soundtrack page

Smugglers & Thieves - Jesper Kyd

Night's Curse - Jesper Kyd

Crimson Winter - Clark Powell

The Game!

Other cool stuff from the game!

Ready to craft enchantments?

You'll need to speak with this master enchanter.

Regarding dates, we have the content rocking along and are working diligently on stability and tightening some things up. As soon as we're comfortable with the quality there, we'll push out alpha, and then beta.

Shout Out

Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire

There's this quaint little game on Fig right now that you may have heard of called Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire. It's currently struggling along at just 220% of it's $1,100,000 goal. They need our help!

In all seriousness, this is a sure-fire hit from some crowdfunding superstars. Any RPG lover should check it out and consider backing them. They're also super-supportive of other crowdfunded games, a literal "pillar" of the crowdfunding scene #dadjokes.

 Thanks all!

The music: nostalgic for both Darksiders games, but beautifully/tastefully enhanced.
The Alpha: wow. I backed you guys because I thought your work was classy, but I didn't expect since refinement. Excellent work on everything.
Graphics, story, characters, puns/easter eggs, refreshingly different and fun. I've never done KS before and I'm glad I did with you. FYI the most common issue I saw was typos and grammar, can't shake the teacher bug sometimes.
      Keep it up! Thanks again!

      With appreciation and respect,

Damn this music is crazy good. I will definitely need to pick up the soundtrack

Ladies & Gentlemen of Airship -

Allow me to pass along a hearty thanks for taking the time to respond; whether you know it, it does mean quite a lot. What's more is: certainly glad to hear that everything is still on track. Obviously, the game itself may well provide a great window into the possible story venues so that is a very exciting idea; that we the backers may have a bird's eye view that others may not.

Regardless - thank you again for coming up on comms to check in about the books. Best of luck in the months ahead, certainly rooting for you.

PS: If ever you need beer brought directly to the office, just shout - being here in Austin affords that unique opportunity.

Great atmospheric music, can't wait to hear the full OST (and of course play the game!)

Hey Burt! The game is keeping Joe pretty busy, but as his responsibilities on it wind down, he's going to pick up more steam on Issue #10. So: the book is coming - we haven't forgotten. :)

Once again, great points all the way around; and appreciative of the update. However, we are once again left without even the smallest of details surrounding the comic itself.

Truly would appreciate even the tiniest of details behind the book. Most notably; will the book be released to coincide with the game, and if not - are there any updates to be shared on how it is progressing?

Please bear in mind that while there is a great deal of excitement for the game itself; a great many of us supported this project on the basis of continuing the book itself. Whereas there is no telling the sheer preponderance of making such a dynamic dream a reality (very ambitious project to be sure); I can personally say that even a small flare to say "Hey, the book is coming - we haven't forgotten" would go a long way in keeping the excitement.

      Thanks to you as always.

the quality of those animations is superb. If you guys keep that level of polish throughout the game this could be one of the best strategy games of 2017!

Getting more and more excited for the game with these updates! Can anyone tell me if this game would potentially be available for the Nintendo Switch? Thanks!!!

    19. Illya on

Wow, game is looking amazing! How life-like the movements and actions of units even outside battles. The way the head looks back and forth between the player and the sword sticking out of the dead lycelot, and the body is moved as it is pulled out. So much attention to detail! Can't wait until this is ready in all it's glory!

    20. Brian Widman on

Holy crap! I loved his work on Robotech Invasion.
