My name is Mario Aguirre - I'm a product designer, inventor, compost guru and craftsman. I invented and patented InkWip so I would always have a pen handy.
Prior to the invention of InkWip, I worked for over ten years as a high school Algebra teacher in South Central LA. It was there, in the classroom, where I had the epiphany for a 'tool' that would enable me and other teachers to always have a pen handy. And to forever end my frustration of looking for one.
I created InkWip to be a 'tool' that was both utility and stylish. It first had to provide a necessary function but, also had to look and feel like something I could see myself and others wearing everyday.
After encouraging feedback from my customers, I have now decided to take InkWip into full production. I'm now in the process of hiring staff, streamlining my production process, and researching alternative materials beyond animal by-products to use. I would also like to add-on my latest creation, the LeadWip, to my product line.
With your contribution InkWip I will be able to purchase the necessary tools and materials (skiver, scrap leather, alternative materials, dies, jig fabrication, ink cartridges, hardware, magnets, additional staff members) to take InkWip to the next level and get it in the hands and on the wrists of (teachers, writers, craftsmen, creatives) or anyone looking for an innovative writing 'tool' at a moment's notice. www.inkwip.com

Risks and challenges
InkWip at present is a small operation but I foresee when the campaign is complete that my small production will need to step-it-up quickly to streamline processes to maximize the efficiency, flow and organization of the production and meet deadlines.
I am taking this time, pre-campaign to get organized, interview potential employees and making lists of necessary items and materials to acquire before we start production.
I see these challenges as rewarding opportunities and opportunities to learn and grow from. I'm excited by the process and having the potential to reach as many people as I can with this innovative product.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
