Have a question?
I just moved, so I would like to know if I need to update my shipping address?
The GIFTED tier (which is included in mine) implies that I will get a physical copy of the game (in addition to the digital distribution copy of the ADEPT tier), but it doesn't say anything about shipping, which makes me wonder.
If the GIFTED tier didn't actually mean to imply a physical copy (but just restated that the game was included, intending digital distribution), then AFAIK there's nothing more to ship, and the new address is not needed.
(I'm assuming the .zip of the CLAIRVOYANT tier is sent via digital distribution, if not then that would be a cause for needing the address, too.)
So, do I need to update my address, and if so, how should I go about doing it?
Sorry, Rick! That's being fixed right now.
I note Neurosky is now advertising this is for sale.... odd since i haven't actually gotten a copy yet :(
I'm not getting the warm fuzzies from my Mindwave device. I've gotten it working in the past, and for a few moments today, and now it's just being temperamental. I'm sure the game runs fine (aside from not detecting the device) but the technical aptitude of the software for the device, and the drivers, just isn't there. It's frustrating. I'll try again in a few days but I'm not going to trip over myself trying to get this running.
The technical limitation is that I'm the only engineer on the team and I have no idea what I'm doing with linux.
Speking of linux: what is the technical problem for making a linux build? I just played a little with my EEG under linux, and readout seems to be quite straitforward, even no special drivers are needed, unlike windows.
So if it's not the engine which is tricky to port to linux, then probably to make the linux build is easier than it seems.
We would like to have a linux version of the game, but at this time, we don't have the engineering budget to make that happen.
With the latest update about Steam, I went there looking for a voting button, and noticed it's only marked as being for PC and Mac.
Will there be a Linux build of the game? I don't have any Mac or Windows PC, all my PCs are Linux-based...
@Gavin Lambert: Since I got my headset, I've been using it to play MindLabyrinth by ThinkSlow. It's a rather different game than TTWYM, but you do use the same focus/meditate controls, and I've found it to be rather fun. If you want to try before you buy, there's a link to a demo lying around somewhere (I don't remember where I found it at the moment).
I'll try to get that resolved as ASAP.
So it turns out windows 8.1 is a no-go for the headset at present? Won't detect the device. So will keep an eye on vendor updates.
We are on schedule to launch TTWYM in March, 2014.
Just received my headset (live in Austria, Vienna). http://gyazo.com/95a3c621ae18cbb89608b1d0fe7504e3.png
When TTWYM will be available?
Any suggestions for good games to play with the headset (until TTWYM ships, of course)?
Lat, I never received any domestic package. Is there a chance they had delivery trouble and returned it to you? Months ago?
We're packing up the international headsets now. We'll make an announcement when we take them to the shipping facility.
I'm guessing there's still no eta on international shipping? [not sure why the headset is different for international people? We all have a single brain and skull, for the most part..].
USA and Canada headsets have shipped. We're having problems with the international headsets and don't know when they will ship out. We'll make an announcement as soon as we know when they will ship. We're very sorry about the delay.
So were all the headsets shipped? I'm either out of luck or it's been miss-delivered.
Sweet, the poster arrived and looks great! Hope everything's going well with the game, I'm looking forward to it very much.
The headset is one-size-fits-all. There is no larger version. The beta will be sent out by digital distribution when it's ready and don't yet have an ETA on that. We're working on sending out the posters now. Sorry about the delays!
I agree with Jeff the headset seems to be the kid version. Plus, all I got was the headset. My backer package included quite a bit more.
What's the ETA on the beta?
I got the headset. Do they make bigger ones? It's tiny on my head.
Received headset! Its awesome and works great! Can't wait for the beta to become available! :)
Filled out the survey with my mailing address. No package yet... Have they been sent out, or is just me? Have had some issues with the post office.
Is there an estimation on the arrival of rewards?
Bravo guys... great to hear you've made it! Good luck! (And now begins the sleepless nights!) :)
Does the GIFTED tier include a physical copy of the game?
Psychical copies are important to me and if that's not included I'd even add a tenner to make it a physical copy (along with shipping costs)
Congratulations! I'm so glad this project is going to happen!
Well my excitement just went through the roof when I saw that there's more than $40000 pledged now. Time to start training my calm and focus over the next year.
Awesome. This is going to be fun. I'm kind of wondering though, if you're only really good at managing calm OR focus, can you still maintain a decent arsenal of combat with only that half of the moves? I'm not always a "calm under pressure" sort of person. :)
Alternately, any thought toward having mutators in team mode where some people only have calm moves and others only have focus moves? Just a thought, and perhaps doable without breaking the bank.
Yes! This game is going to be awesome. I can't wait... although I'll probably forget about it for periods of a month or two until stuff arrives XP
Woo, you made it! Omodeto.
Soon psychic video games will be a reality. Mwahahahaha!
Congrats, Lat!!!! <3
Goal met! And with 57 hours to go.
Congratulations, Lat. =)
We are spine tinglingly close!
This is great! A friend of mine who I work for at DigiPen pointed me to your Kickstarter and I AM IMPRESSED! Great job in melding (sorry for the pun) mind control mechanics with the FPS genre. I sincerely hope this Kickstarter succeeds!
Ooh I've been waiting for a concept like this for ages. I've backed it and hope it gets the funding it needs. Can't wait!
Really excited for this! Im just hoping that they'll get enough to make it a reality, hopefully its not scrapped if they dont make the deadline :-/
Nm. I read an old update that seemed to clear it up that it was a separate thing. Looks like its $80 at the store now
So it's $25 for the game. Does that come with the headset or how do we get the headset?
I only wish I wasn't a poor student so I could give you more than 25$. Really hoping you make your goal!
Techdirt got you a backer here! :)
I see on NeuroSky's website that there is a version of the EEG for Europe (50Hz) and US (60Hz).
Will you be sending the appropriate EEG based on our delivery address?
Los Angeles Times writes an article about Throw Trucks!
What do you think about changing the Psychic level to shipping a headset now, instead of with the game? Or adding another tier at $130 or something? For me at least it would provide an incentive to make the jump from $25 (sorry don't really care about concept art).
This technology has been out for some time but never put in a game as cool as this at first I was very wary until reading a reporters poster now im all for it, and Im very excited to play it..
VentureBeat article just got you at least one backer :-)
The VentureBeat .com article was wonderful, and I'm so proud of you and your team! I've pasted in a link in case others want to read it. Readers should be prepared for a little profanity in the article, but that certainly makes it emphatic!
Loved the article in venturebeat. It's really got me itching to play this thing!
