Vulpine is a charming action exploration game where you venture through a living world as animals armed to the teeth. Enter a world reclaimed by nature with wildlife, discoveries, and mysteries abound. Encounter eccentric characters, fearsome monsters, and engage in heart pounding combat. Play solo or join a pack with your friends!

There are three types of weapons: Sword, Spear, and Hammer. Each animal is a master of every weapon, so don’t worry if you can’t choose a favourite! Upgrade your gear by using materials obtained during battle to further your combat ability!
Invite your friends to join a publicly available server, host your own server, or even create your own private session, all supporting 32+ players! Take your character and equipment to any server. Form a pack with your friends to track down bigger and badder monsters, or just explore what the world has to offer.
However, this doesn’t mean that you can’t play the game by yourself. Skilled solo players will be able to see everything that Vulpine has to offer, even if they choose to play as a lone wolf.
Monsters are powerful bosses that are found across the landscape. Some live within their own habitats, others roam the lands, soar over the savannah, or even seek the player out themselves!
Combating monsters is the core of Vulpine’s action gameplay. Battling these creatures will require skill and persistence. Learning how each monster acts is important to surviving an encounter with them. Each monster fights in a very different way, all with their own surprises to keep you on your toes!
Defeating monsters will reward you with materials. Using these, you can upgrade your gear and venture even further into the world. Have a personal favourite playstyle? Personalize your weapon to specialize in what you want. Become the best fox you can be!
Explore a vibrant world encompassing many diverse biomes. From dense forests to lush meadows, the tallest mountain tops, and even the radiant glow of our bioluminescent biome. Every Biome is its own contained ecosystem with dynamic weather, beautiful terrain, and wildlife to match!
The world in Vulpine is procedurally generated using our custom low poly terrain system, making every facet a unique creation for you to explore! Choose the world that’s right for you and it will be populated with from every corner with adventure.
The world of Vulpine holds many secrets. You might meet eccentric characters in your travels, such as the Shopkeep Cat. This friendly cat will trade you rare trinkets in exchange for a few favors.
Sometimes, special events occur during your travels. These events can be large or small, from a surprise attack, to a visit from your favourite slime friend. Keep a look out!
Memorable locales are waiting for you in the farthest corners of the world. These hand-crafted areas provide unique settings for you to explore!

How to add an extra copy of Vulpine as an add-on to your pledge:
- Go to the Vulpine:Be a Fox With a Sword! Page, and click the Manage Your Pledge/Back This Project button.
- Increase your pledge in the pledge amount box to reflect the amount of extra copies you wish to add. ($15 per Copy, or $25 per Early Access copy)
- Do not change the tier you have already pledged at. If you wish to change tiers while still adding additional copies, you will need to switch tiers, and then increase that tier’s pledge to reflect the amount of extra copies you wish to add.
After that, you’re done! We’ll be sending out a survey after the Kickstarter Campaign that will ask you about your add-ons.
Vulpine will have a full original soundtrack done by the whimsical Tyler Shaw. Here are a some demo songs!
Programming: Vulpine, being a networked game with a procedural world, and lots of AI, programming will take a solid 30% of funding.
Art: Animals, animations, particles, and Bosses. There's plenty of art to go into the game.
OST & Audio: Animals make a lot of noise and we want a top quality soundtrack, so we set aside some funding for that!
Misc & Buffer: This includes software licenses, server rentals, and other costs too small to have their own category. This will also serve as an additional buffer for unexpected costs as well.
Taxes & Fees: 25% of the total funds will go to the Kickstarter fee, payment processing fees, and taxes.

We’ve been working up until now with what money we have, but to truly make Vulpine the best game we can, we’ll need the community's help. Because of this, we’ve decided to return to Kickstarter because of the overwhelming support and enthusiasm of our previous backers.
We think that working with the Kickstarter community with a focus on open development (Closed beta and Early Access) and community feedback will help us make a game that everybody feels that they've been a part of.
This is also why we're promising to give you video or written updates every month after we're funded. We’ve already been doing these occasionally on our youtube, which you can check out here. We also promise to keep you up to date on development on twitter, something that we already do constantly.
Risks and challenges
We've been developing games as a team for a few years now so we have a solid history of delivering. However, being a team of two people there is always the risk that something unexpected(such as a medical emergency) could happen that may cause delay in development if they aren't able to work.
