THE BOOZY BOUQUET
Is it a stylish bouquet handle? Is it a chic flask? Yes! Presenting, The Boozy Bouquet , the first bouquet handle that doubles as a wedding keepsake for lovers of design and spirits. I am so excited to introduce my saucy invention to the wedding world, and with your support, The Boozy Bouquet will become a reality for fun-loving brides and bridesmaids!
I’m Angela, the inventor and designer of The Boozy Bouquet. I’m a landscape designer and enthusiast of all things planty, so when a when a newly engaged friend joked that she wished she could hide a flask in her bouquet, I thought, “I accept this challenge! Botanicals and booze!”
HOW IT WORKS
I designed The Boozy Bouquet with three separate parts:
1. The floral cage and water reservoir that holds a 4” floral foam ball in which flower stems and other bouquet materials can be anchored
2. The handle flask
3. The permanent flask cap
The floral cage and handle flask twist apart easily, making quick sips a cinch. The handle flask has a shapely scalloped design reminiscent of the Art Deco period. The flared form makes for a comfortable grip and the flattened base helps the bouquet to stand upright on an even surface.
Currently, I am able to offer The Boozy Bouquet in three different stainless steel finishes to accommodate various décor schemes: Antique, Mirrored polish, and Satin
MAKING THE BOUQUET
1. Rest floral cage containing floral foam sphere in a bowl of water until the foam stops absorbing water.
2. Place floral cage with soaked foam upright in a standard pint glass to stabilize it while arranging the bouquet.
3. Use sharp pruning shears to cut plant materials to insert into the floral foam. A clean-cut stem is necessary to pull in moisture and maintain the perkiness of the cuttings. Remember, a bouquet can also be created using paper or felt flowers! If your bouquet materials aren't living, there's obviously no need to soak the foam sphere.
4. Insert cut plant cuttings into the floral foam sphere. The design possibilities are endless! If you aren't crazy about the floral arrangement, replace the floral foam sphere and start over as many times as you like.
5. Once the bouquet has been designed to your liking, it's ready to screw onto the handle flask, but not until you've filled the flask with your favorite spirit (or non-alcoholic liquid refreshment)!
6. You're now equipped to steal a nip before your trip down the aisle! Santé!
Thank you for being so good to me!
The Boozy Bouquet handle flask and floral cage reservoir is fabricated from passivated, cast, food-grade stainless steel.
Should my campaign be successfully funded (fingers crossed!), I will purchase a rubber mold that will yield approximately 150 units. A rubber mold will eventually lose physical integrity and require a replacement rubber mold. If my campaign exceeds my funding goal by enough, I will gleefully upgrade to aluminum tooling (swoon!) which will allow for the production of thousands of units and shorter production runs. Aluminum tooling will also bring down the price of each unit, which is a major goal of mine!
Presently, the prototype’s floral foam cage is constructed of inter-locking stainless steel pieces that have been spot welded to the reservoir cap. In an effort to reduce the overall weight of The Boozy Bouquet, I am in the process of redesigning the cage with a lightweight bent wire. A clam hinge and simple clasp makes it easy to replace the floral foam sphere as much as needed, encouraging design experimentation and even reuse.
Once the big party is over, the makeup is smeared, and the fancy clothes are in a heap on the hotel room floor, The Boozy Bouquet transforms into a charming vintage-inspired flask. Simply twist off the floral cage, twist on the permanent cap, and tuck the elegant flask into your purse or display it next to your favorite bottle of the good stuff!

TASKS, FUNDING AND TIMELINE
I’ve made a lot of progress already on The Boozy Bouquet project. Your contributions will help me complete the long process of bringing this new product to market.
Cheers to supporting this dream!
REACHING THE MARKET
The American wedding market is vast and growing, with 2.3 million couples marrying in the US each year. The average cost of a wedding, honeymoon and rings is $30,000. These expenditures are growing by roughly 5% annually since the end of the recession. More than ever, weddings are creative and personalized. (CNN Money and Time Magazine, 2014; The Knot, 2016)
The target market for the Boozy Bouquet is brides of all ages and styles. But don't forget bouquets and gifts for your bridesmaids. The Boozy Bouquet fills two needs with one deed!

Risks and challenges
A challenge I foresee is potential lead time conflicts for fulfillment if sales are extraordinary. To combat this and potential delays due to equipment failures and the like, which sometimes occur in production, I am seeking to establish additional vendor relationships to help close these potential gaps.
To reduce the overall weight of the final product and ensure the most efficient solution for the floral foam cage, additional research & development is needed. Every effort will be made to expedite this process.
It is important to me to manufacture The Boozy Bouquet in the United States, where I am able to personally monitor the production and guarantee its quality. Manufacturing domestically does, however, drive up the price point of the product. Even though shipping this work overseas could reduce my costs up to 75%, I am choosing American manufacturing partners and have faith that my clientele will appreciate the quality and care in which The Boozy Bouquet is created.
There are no other bouquet handle flasks on the market. The Boozy Bouquet is the first and only!
I realize that any Kickstarter campaign comes with risks, please note that risks to supporters are lower when the founder is already deeply financially committed, as I am. I will spend your contributions wisely and am deeply grateful for your support. Cheers!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
