"WELCOME TO HELL, OH YE OF QUESTIONABLE MORALITY. Who you were in your previous life no longer matters. You crazy sinners, I hope you like your new bat bodies.We're overcrowded, so I'm going to give you a chance to escape. There are escalators all over the place to shortcut your asses out of here faster. However, there's all kinds of pipes that will suck you in and take you back into the depths. Just so I get more amusement out of this endeavor, I've neglected to inform the demon guards that I'm allowing this, so they're on patrol. Those pipes are going to make good hiding places. At the top of the Escalators, my business rival, God, has placed a Divine Truth question you have to answer. At the bottom of the pipes, I've placed dares you have to do. Good luck! MWAHAHAHAHAA"-Satan
The Game
Bats Outta Hell is a tabletop party game loaded with raunchy humor, truth-or-dare elements, as well as both board and card game play. The premise is simple; use fill-in-the-blank card game play to win Cloud Cards; The number on the Cloud Card determines how many spaces you move on the board. Some spaces have escalators, others have pipes. If you land on an escalator you skip ahead and must answer a "Divine Truth" question; alternately, if you land on a space with a pipe, you move backwards and have to complete a dare on a "Satan Dares You" pog. First player to The Gates of Heaven escapes Hell and wins the game.
The game will be available for free download under a creative common license, as well as in a professionally printed version for purchase. The bulk of our goal will be towards an initial production run, so that we can keep the price of each unit low both on our end and the consumer end. (The free version has all the same stuff, except the box. And you'll have to print and cut it yourself.)
Other Stuff
It turns out the cost of starting a business, even a simple online one, isn't exactly low. The other part of the funding will be to officially make our company legal, as well as cover all other start-up costs.The dates on the rewards for the professionally printed copies of the game are set to September because there's a 2-3 week production period and kickstarter has a 14 day "window" if funding is reached after the goal date before we get the money. We really appreciate your patience. The cost of making sure you guys get your rewards is also figured into the goal amount.
About The Creators
We're just two guys who got scammed by a fraudulent trade school, and have had no success in the field we went to school for. Despite being part of a lawsuit against the school and it's parent company, we didn't get enough to pay off our outstanding student loan debts. So, we decided to try to start a business and make an awesome game for the world to enjoy, not just to reset our own lives, but to provide a bright future for our children.
Risiken und Herausforderungen
The only risks or challenges I foresee are delays in production and shipping, which we can't do too much about. The only solution would be to try and cover expedited shipping once we receive the units.
