Wishing you all the 'real world' success for your brilliant 'invitation' to aspiring storytellers...what a fantastic innovation, Brick! Thank you for your gift of inspiration. Best in 2014...

      Hey Mark,

I am excited to see what your daughter comes up with. I was recently visiting my brother and his daughter, 9 years old, began playing with the kit. I turned away for a few moments and she had come up with an entirely new way to hang the lights from the top the stage! It is little things like that get me exited about the new and interesting ways this kit will be used.

Here are two videos with tricks I recently posted on my Youtube channel:
      Georges Melies' Stop-trick:…
Shooting through a glass both empty and filed:…

Thanks for the kind words, they are wonderful encouragement as I move forward and try to bring this kit to a wider audience. Kickstarter in an amazing place to launch something like this because it is filled with enthusiastic early adopting people who are for most part super positive. That is a wonderful place start. Now I am trying to figure out how to share it "in the real world" of consumer products. It is fairly daunting.

Hi, since the Holidays are coming real fast, I am wondering when my Tabletop studio will arrive? I saw it already arrived at backers in Ireland, so it might have been here (in the Netherlands already) too, right? So maybe something went wrong or there is a delay for some other reason. Please let me know when to watch my doorstep. Thanks in advance.

Glad to hear some people are receiving them, and positive feedback thus far! Can't wait. I'll be giving it to my daughters for Christmas, the problem if it arrives this month is having to wait that long!!!

I only backed a little... Meant to come back... Is there any opportunity to increase or just buy a kit?

@Jeff - iStopmotion looks great! I remember using an earlier version and really liked it. I like the remote camera option with iOS devices. That functionality makes so much sense. As people build more 3 dimensional sets, I think stop motion will be very interesting. In the extended workshops I've run, I see kids mix live action and stop motion together to create interesting effects.

@Cyan - I have had a similar idea for awhile that would allow easy character building and printing. This could be a wonderful extension for customization. I have a section in the guidebook I am preparing that helps you cartoon faces with different eyes, noses, mouths, ears, jaws and hair. It's pretty fun.

This app would make for a nice pairing with our little studios. :D Can't wait to play!

Brick, I love this project. My daughter is 10 and loves to write stories and make movies with her itouch. I'm excited to see what she creates with this. I think Brian's idea about the character creator website is excellent - or of course, there could even be an app for that?!

      Hi Xenatos,

Thanks for supporting the project! The target age is 9 and up if you want to include the writing proces as part of the moviemaking. That being said, I have seen kids as young as 4 start inventing a story with the characters and settings. With kids under 9 I think an adult will need to help guide the process a bit.

Hey I am Already a Backer, would just like to know if there are small parts, and what age range you would recommend, coz I think I wanna get more :) for my younger cousins and my nephews.

One more thing. Congratulations! Your Project just got Fully Funded!

I really love the different faces for the different characters. I realize this is a little outside the scope of the project, but it would be awesome to have a character creator website where a kid could select attributes and then print a character + faces immediately. Need a fire fighter? An astronaut? A kid with glasses? Easy!

Thank you for making such a wonderful product that promotes imagination and creativity. I can't wait to see what our family does with this!

Brick, this is an awesome idea! I know many kids that would love something like this and I'm excited to see the final product. Great job!
