Past Their Prime is my 23-min thesis film produced at the Graduate School of Journalism at UC Berkeley. The film was produced under the guidance of a number of talented individual including Documentary filmmakers Jon Else, Spencer Nakasako, Bonni Cohen, Jon Shenk, and Richard Berge. With the support of the University, Margaret and Will Hearst, and a Knight Program Travel Grant, I was able to produce and complete my film.
Now that the film is complete and has been sent to a few festivals, I am looking for your help to get the film out there. The funds that I request will go directly into the submission of film to festivals and venues so that the film can be seen, and the story of Colo and her aging zoo neighbors can be shared with a broader audience.
I've set the funding goal level so that if reached, PTP can be submitted to at least 10 additional festivals. But I hope that with your help we can go above and beyond that goal. Any funds raised over the amount needed to cover distribution fees and expenses, will go towards pre-established wildlife conservation efforts.
So take a gander at the various donor goals on the side, or come up with your own. Unclear? Ask me a question. And don't forget to leave comments on our wall, check out our facebook, twitter, and imdb pages listed below, and if you do order a t-shirt or poster, either leave your choice with me in an email or comment, or I'll contact you for your choices if/when we reach our funding goal.
Thank you for reading, and for your support!
