@ Adrian, thank you for your comment. I agree with you. However, we must take it in count in our offers although both manufacturing and investments are unmatchable between plastic and resin. Hope to see you on ne new campaign. Fabien [FLUO Games]
I don't think people realise how much upfront cost 'cheap' plastic miniatures take.
I'll get the resin when it comes around.
Best of luck FLUO.
@ BlasterCA, we will make best prices we can but we will not change our manufacturing technology. So the prices will be more interesting but do not wait for plastic prices. Our miniatures will stay in resin for the reboot. Fabien [FLUO Games]
I'm afriad that if the price for the minis doesn't somehow come down, the same thing will happen all over. I love the look & idea of his game. I really wan it to succeed. It really should. The price of the minis is very prohibitive though. I was a VIP Platinum pledger as well. It was as good a deal as it could be. Even at that, it'd have been ~$360US for basically two games & 24 minis. If the value doesn;'t go up, through stretch goals at least, the reboot will suffer the same fate. I hate to say it, but it's true. :-\
@ all, the new campaign was sent to Kickstarter's approbation. We have already made the harder part. The new campaign will contain only 5 pledges, including the "VIP" and the "Thanks" pledge. The new VIP pledge will be limited in quantity but not in time.
You will find on the new DT campaign a complete optional stuff and some surprises. We also reworked the stretch goals. The campaign may be rebooted on thursday or friday at last. So, stay tuned. Fabien [FLUO Games]
Hope to be able to put my hand on both of your game ¦) and some of your cut minis
Like Adrian, I was another pledger just looking to get the miniatures and nothing else. I already own the core game so didn't need it. I also found the miniatures rather expensive. Though I do find the look and feel of them fantastic.
I was one of those who was after the miniatures and less so the game. As others have said a brave move that will no doubt reap rewards in the long run. I hope to see more Paint war stuff in the future and my money will be waiting for those cool mushrooms :)
reboot with less money and new VIP offer is a great idea I think.
@ all, thank you for your support and trust, this is important for us. Fabien [FLUO Games]
I think it is the right choice as well and I look forward to your new campaign and hope I get a new VIP pledge. :)
I think you are making the right choice.
The last days it was only going backwards.
I will definitely back again, just let us know when.you relaunch. It is true that I can buy everything seperately, but that is not what KS is about.
I like your project, it looks very solid and the miniatures just look gorgeous.
Hard choice to make, but ultimately the best thing to do I think.
i will be there for the relaunch ;)
I see you will reboot the project but what happend with the existing pledge? You say you will create only a vip offer but i'm a early vip platinium first 48 hours. Will be loose my excusives rewards? I follow this project since the beginning?
This is a bold choice guys. It worked for my dice (obviously a much smaller campaign) but I think if the community sees you addressing some of their comments and streamlining the pledges you'll reap huge rewards. I've known the creator of this project for around 2 years and I know what his work ethic is like. I pledged at the VIP Platinum level and my money is there for you guys when it re-launches.
As @Paul Round said, there are no negatives here.
I will look forward to see what you come back with. Good luck.
I think this is a good decision, albeit a hard one for you to make. Hopefully some good lessons have been learnt and you can come back with a project ready to draw in the backers this really deserves. I've seen a fair few other projects do just this very successfully and no shame in doing this.
Looking forward to the relaunch!
you are right with that. i backed just $1 to what happens and to get updates. But the pledge levels etc are just too confusing. I like the art, i like miniatures but bronze silver gold and all the inbetween stuff.. i did not get through it and i didnt want to after seeing the mess :-)
i am still interested in the game itself but as you see i havent raised my pledge until now. Maybe in the next campaign.
