Genesis is a twenty-eight page color comic. Initially, it was written as a short film by Angelica Baini, but with the help of artists, Jackie Albano, Tianna Harvey, and Grace Berrios, it was transformed into a comic. In issue one, Miami natives, Genesis, Roxy, and Natalie wait for their friend Veronika at their campsite in the Everglades. Things start getting strange when Genesis sees an apparition in the sky.
The comic is 100% done. All we are asking for are the funds for printing, as well as the funds to create other merchandise. (Pins, patches, and stickers) Our plan is to print 500 copies then set up an online shop to sell them there and at conventions and other events. Kickstarter takes a 5% fee of our funds raised, and an additional 3% on payment processing fees.
We would love it if you would support us and this comic! Show us some love! <3
Genesis loves space and nature. This camping thing was all her fault, tbh. Our hero is always ready to stop a crisis in its tracks. But as she will soon find out, not everything in the Everglades is preventable. And we aren’t just talking about the mosquito bites.
Roxy is a care-free punk who is ride or die for her crew. She’s all about dancing and talking mad-smack, which often puts her at odds with Natalie. Whatever, they’ll work it out.
The cautious one, Natalie is smart but also a huge downer. She didn’t even want to go on this trip, but her friends would have called her a flake for the millionth time.
First of all, Veronika with a K, okay? She had to get a mani-pedi for this camping trip so she’s five hours late. Maybe not the most reliable of the girls, but definitely the coolest. Sorry Roxy. Anyways, our girl is 305 till she dies.
We will be printing with PrintNinja for the highest quality :]

Risks and challenges
This is our first Kickstarter but the comic is completed already. Our challenge now is to have it printed and just ship everything. We received quotes from various comic printers and quotes for merchandise products. We have budgeted ourselves for those things plus the Kickstarter fees. For the higher awarded tiers we had limited their count so that we can focus on getting the comic printed.
We hope to continue this series if funded. Our second issue is in the works.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
