The life of a homeless man is not easy, but for David it is all he knows. In fact, he would tell you his life is nothing but.....
Synopsis (with spoilers)
David is a homeless man, “not all there.” He is an outcast even amongst the other homeless men he shares an alley with. One night after a confrontation with one of the other homeless men, David hears a mysterious voice. The voice whispers, “Seven.” David brushes it off and goes back to sleep.
The next day, David is out panhandling. Passersby mostly ignore him, but a couple of people drop some coins into his money cup. While receiving coins from a man on the street, David hears that mysterious whisper again. “Seven,” the voice calls to him. David is startled. He looks around but cannot find where the voice is coming from.
As David walks along the street the voice keeps calling to him, “Seven; seven.” David walks fast, bumping into people, trying to get away from the voice. Eventually David arrives back at the alleyway he slept at the previous night. His friends are gone; the alleyway is empty. As he enters the alley the mysterious voice continues to call to him, “seven, seven, seven.” At the end of the alleyway David sees a bright light and he reaches out to touch it. The light engulfs him and he disappears along with the light.
David wakes up in the middle of a big empty desert. There is only a small box in the distance. David walks toward the box all the while the voice keeps whispering, “seven. Seven. Seven.” As David gets closer to the box the voice becomes louder and louder until it is a chorus of voices yelling, “seven! Seven! Seven!”......
And that is as much as we are willing to reveal.
Crew- The crew is the backbone of any movie.
Actors-Legitimate actors will be in this movie and that is an expense.
Catering- A hungry crew is an angry crew so I have to make sure they are well fed so that the work flow is fast and smooth.
Equipment Rental-This short is majorly visual and I would like to shoot it on the Black magic or the 5D Mark iii.
Wardrobe- The actors will be dressing as homeless men but we don't want them to actually be in authentic dirty clothes.
Props- There are some
Risks and challenges
When making a movie there are countless obstacles in the way. A camera shot might be more difficult then previously anticipated, sometimes actors put themselves at risk by pushing themselves too far, weather may change spontaneously, equipment malfunction, time constraints, you name it and it usually happens. Good thing for us, the crew is professional and experienced and knows how to confront any obstacle that comes their way.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
