I'm requesting that you refund my pledge as it seems at this point that you cannot fulfill it, or are unwilling to. Project Creators are required to fulfill all rewards of their successful fundraising campaigns or refund any Backer whose reward they do not or cannot fulfill.

Another month and still no update. Kickstarter takes our money yet takes no responsibility at all. Who's the biggest con artist ?
Yet another KS project I'll never see the product or my money again...
I disputed the charge with my credit card company, got my money back that way.
Also, they said they would ship "anywhere in the world" because they were never planning on shipping anything. A refund should be provided. That is a lot of $ for nothing.

Matt Huber last logged in sept 2015. Has anyone gotten a refund or any contact? This was a massive scam. It appears to me the intention was never to create a product. They amount funded was 3x's the goal and still nothing. Something should be done.

If anyone is still interested in this product, check out the Hidrate me kickstarter. I met these folks a couple of months ago and talked with them a bit. I have a lot of faith they will succeed. They knew about this project and were working to avoid the same pitfalls. If you want in, you need to do it by July 13th.

Well, Long time ago when I was telling everyone that this was a scam, everyone was bashing me and telling me I'm wrong.... Where are they now.....? Oh I know scared to talk because I was right!
Again sorry to everyone that had to go through this but anyone in the U.S Again I highly recommend for you to contact the attorney general office and file a complaint. Also, contact kickstarter over and over and over!
If this was a genuine error and simply a failed project, the creator would be around offering assurances, apologies, and promising to come up with a plan to help redeem themselves. The fact this hasn't happened to me shows this was a scam pure and simple.
This project makes me so bitter but in the end, I've backed 16 projects - of those, I've received my pledge/reward for 12 of them, money collected for 1 (Exploding Kittens card game) and reward delivery due in July, and 2 still active projects - ScreenStick & Pebble Time... I must not let the scamming antics of one creator put me off backing genuine ones.
With me being in the UK, class action lawsuit wouldn't really work. Chargebacks for UK cards typically only works within the first month or two - by the time we discovered Matt Huber was a big massive lying cheat, I reckon most UK backers were well outside that window. Police wont do a thing given circumstance despite it being theft... So really, us UK folk are fresh out of luck.
I wish the American backers success in trying to get action taken against this guy.
I have to admit this is the first kick starts campaign I feel like I was cheated of my money.....I understand this is a site to help those with start up projects to bring their creation to the public and not a shopping site like Amazon BUT we haven't heard anything about this project in forever.....with no updates I can't help but feel like everyone else...I would love to somehow get my money back.

Matt Huber has done one or all of the following:
- Set up this kickstarter with the sole intent to scam money. Product was never real.
- Failed to estimate the time and cost to make this, and came up significantly short
- After the campaign decided that he could no longer be bothered, and ran with our $35k
- He's a liar
- He's a cheat
- He's a scammer
- He's a conman

Ryan - only thing I can recommend at this point is for you to contact the attorney general, kickstarter, and see if your credit card company will help you. He hasn't responded in like forever

Godmissy - no class action lawsuits but Matt and his companies have not responded to the letter that the attorney generals office of Idaho sent him so my complaint is on his public records and I've been submitted complains to KS every week. I would be happy to join a class action lawsuit
I'm a little out of the loop, because like a legal abiding citizen, I've been working hard for my money. Are there any class action law suits against Kickstarter or this guy that have been initiated?

I also just filled another complaint with Kickstarter and will forever do so until they change something or do something when the backers do not hold up their end of the agreement they signed with kickstarter. So, I would also recommend folding a complaint and reporting this project ASAP
I'm not 100% sure/positive, but regardless of where you live. This guy or this Matt Huber states he's in Idaho... If i were international I would do the same thing I did. Which is file a complaint with the Attorney General.. The more complaints they get, it's possible they will take legal action... I highly doubt it, because Matt Huber has not responded to TWO letter sent to him by the Attorney Generals office. I'm waiting to hear back from the Attorney Generals office regarding the next step.

To be honest I'll never pledge for any project relating to a smart water bottle. I know that might sound a bit mean but this is why we or kickstarter needs to do something!!
Well, ladies and gents, here's a project like the one we had pledged for. Only. This one looks like it's gonna be a reality.
I feel it's only right that we stay on too of this as he agreed to terms of agreement just like we did and he is not conforming to those terms he agreed to. So, if we all come together file a complaint with the AG I will then call and speak to a lawyer to see if we can do a class action lawsuit

Matthew I understand and just as the comment below you it's the principle I have a few projects that I've backed that are wayyyy past the due date but they are keeping us informed and giving accurate details and images of the old molding and the new design this guy had taken advantage of us and kickstarter. But I would encourage everyone to file a compliant with the attorney's general office
Ronald, You know that I was probably one of the biggest people coming out and trying to give Matt the Benefit of the doubt but even I am just kinda shaking my head on this one. I know none of this was guaranteed but I am on board with the AG letter.
People have projects that fail that's life. But this dude is a total DB! We should pitch in and send someone up there to ask him where everyone's money is now that we have his address. Like many of you it's not the money it's the principle of the way he has handle this situation. A+ for your resolve Ronald he probably assumed we all would go away by now.
