Atlas Quarterly is the finest atlas you can own, because of it's more than 80 pages of beautiful photographs, compelling stories and pieces of inspiring curio.

Here is a wealth of information about our changing world, where men like Maikoiyo Alley-Barnes and Matthew Noren of Tarboo, featured in the above video version of our print story, are mastering the craft of shirtmaking in order to build a garment that lasts. Where men like Matt Winter, also featured in our pages, are collecting well worn cabinets, chairs and photographs that were made fifty to one hundred years ago to create with them a cozy home.

Atlas Quarterly looks forward, to an America where we can know that the clothes we wear, the food we eat, and the belongings that create our surroundings were made by hand, with the care of an American craftsman.

Atlas Quarterly also looks back, to those who cherish and use objects of beauty and function from the past, curating pieces of curio that were made to last.

Page selections can be seen here on the Kickstarter blog for this project.

In order for the magazine to become a physical reality, and have issues delivered to the doorsteps and mailboxes of many of your concerned and creative countrymen, we need to raise $20,000 for the following:

$11,000 to pay for the printing of 1000 issues. Our printer is American, and the entire magazine is physically produced in Massachusetts by two small, family owned businesses: a printer and a binder.

An estimated $4,000 for the U.S. postal service in order to distribute the magazine.

$1,500 for film development and related lens and lighting rentals. Atlas Quarterly makes a point to shoot on physical film, not digital.

$500 for studio rental, where we had a professional fashion photoshoot featuring an independent designer from Brooklyn.

$200 for the collection of curio to include in each one of our premier issues.

$800 to pay the production staff of copyeditors of factcheckers to ensure that all of our commas are properly placed, and all of our information is honest and true.

$1,000 for our celebration of the American makers, hardworking writers, photographers, and illustrators who made this publication possible.

$1,000 for Kickstarter, which is kindly providing a launch platform for the magazine.

Please consider pledging to the creation of this fine publication, so that American readers can begin to reconnect with craft and objects that were made to last.

Kindly Kickstart Atlas Quarterly.
