Cadavers 2: Poltergeist tells the story of the most fearsome and terrifying Cadaver of them all.
Yeah - things don't always go Poltergeist's way.
Our diminutive, mouthy, native Tatduenden doesn't have the best of luck. Poltergeist's frustration combined with his potential as the most powerful of the Cadavers can cause problems. Basically get him angry and......
Mad Robot Comics invites you to return to the world of the Cadavers - supernatural outcasts and misfits - refugees from a parallel dimension, discriminated against, forced into a life of crime, all the while, stranded on our earth. And still drinking our beer.
Cadavers issue 1 told the tale of the Cadaver's attack on North Mansion from the point of view of the thoughtful, sensitive Doppelgänger - issue 2 follows Poltergeist and his colleague's very different approach to the task of confronting the Cadaver's nemesis Marckus North.
Fresh from the success of the first issue, we have poured that enthusiasm into a stunning looking, action packed second issue.
Poltergeist's tale expands the world of the Cadavers further, looks closer at what happened between the scenes of issue one and continues the story onwards from Doppelgänger's attempts on North’s life.
We get a chance to see more of the Cadavers in action as well as properly introduce you to the most troublesome, under-appreciated and volatile member of the group.
We also answer the question posed by the first issue - "Are the Cadavers all Dead?" (Actually we’ll answer that now. No. They are not. Where is the fun in that?)
We provide more detail on the traitor - we've already had a bunch of guesses as to their identity. Nearly all wrong.
We examine North’s true motives. Is he truly the monster the Cadavers fear - or something even worse!
We take a closer look at the society the Cadavers find themselves forced to adapt to -
And finally we smash a lot of furniture and kill a lot of people. A real lot. This book writes itself.
Issue 2 also features a stunning 4 page fight scene, the likes of which we are certain has never been attempted in comics before (but which artist Edward Bentley won't let us post yet. Spoil-sport).
With the positive response to the cliffhanger ending of the first issue - we wanted to pick up the story ASAP. So Cadaver's artist supreme Edward Bentley has already completed pencils on the first 18 pages of the book: -
For those that missed the first issue - this is an ideal point to jump on board. We catch you up quickly - and then it’s straight into Poltergeist's story.
For those new to the world of the Cadavers here are our main characters: -

OK - The response to Cadavers 1: Doppelgänger has been overwhelmingly positive - people liking the crazy but human characters, the social commentary, the tense plot - but most of all - everyone has stressed how much fun the comic was.
And first and foremost - fun was what we were going for.
So please join us for issue 2. We promise even more craziness and fun. And of course, most importantly - this lot as well.
