Risks and challenges
With every project there are challenges and risks that must be dealt with. Though we are a small studio, we are in preparation of an action plan to deal all risks. We want to share our top risks with you so that you are aware of the potential hindrances that may arise during our development cycle:
First issue: device compatibility. Our goal is to put this game in the hands of as many as possible users of the android and iOS devices. With a myriad of mobile devices on the market, testing can become a very large effort. Our target is to support Android 2.3 and up. On the iOS platform, there are space restrictions that we will have to work around without sacrificing the quality of the game.
Next issue: Thorough bug-testing. In the IT industry today, most businesses want quick-to-market projects. With that said, most project teams’ sacrifice testing time for the sake of getting the product to market fast. We want to ensure that we publish a great product. So testing will be an important phase of the project, which will not be compromised.
Next item: Working with external consultants. We have established good relationships with our graphics consultants. However, there is the potential that designs may take more time to complete for various reasons (refinements, complicated designs, etc.). This is a potential issue we must plan for.
