“A dark pretentious strategy card game for people who love kids and monsters, just the same.”
Monsters and Kids is a 2-4 player card game for everyone who loves the bizarre, weird, darkness and more bizarre. (Because you can never have enough of bizarre.)
If you are not afraid of monsters, U.F.O.s or anything supernatural, the kids could really use your help. Save them from disasters and look out for enemies while constantly making sure you have enough cards to survive another turn.
So, in conclusion, Monsters and Kids is a turn by turn strategic card game created by two architects. The strategies range from developing cute illustrations, attractive intro videos, nursery rhymes, dark themes, self-referential humor to deadly aggressive attacks for pulling in maximum people.
P.S. The game strategies are in the box included.
If you think you are about to save some kids you are in for a big surprise.
And strategy cards are the biggest game changers, (obviously since we have pressed our point too many times that we are dealing with a strategy game). So, keep them in your hand, because they will come… you guessed it, handy!
The Bare Beginnings and Misleading Titles
Not all great things begin in garages, just like Monsters and Kids. It began as a random made-up card game by two architects in the middle of a night that involved pooling up cards to eliminate other players. It was surely fun. Realizing their shared love for ice cream, anime and cats, they went on to make a card game which didn’t include any of these things. Monsters and Kids! After this most obvious leap, they included what it needed. Strategy! So, it pretty much became this pretentious game where monsters were pitted against kids. It was fun. They thought that they should share their joy with the world and started building up a game community. So, if you love doing what you love doing, welcome to the club!
THE ETHICAL DILEMMA! - MONSTERS or KIDS?
As far as the game goes, it is neither against monsters nor kids. It is a game at the end of the day and at the beginning of the next. Don’t dig deep into it.
P.S. The players are advised not to get attached to their kid cards.
And yeah, your kids are your life (awww!) but your monsters help you defeat your enemies. So, it is just a matter of perspective, tact, luck and more tact that you employ to win. As the saying goes, everything is fair in love, war, famine, hopscotch and Monsters and Kids.
YOUR/YOU’RE SUPPORT (both make sense)
The game is ready for take-off and Kickstarter is providing us the best platform to materialize our dreams of building this game community. So, we are only committed to improving this game and delivering our best. We are currently focusing only on the production and ways to deliver this game into your hands as fast as we can. So, to make this game, may be is our tiny destiny. We no longer know if we are being pretentious or honest, but if we could choose we would go with ‘underrated.’
So, if you would like to help us realize our destiny, please lend your support by backing the hell out of this project.
And we won’t even thank you if you back us, we will adore you.
With more honest and unadulterated love,
- Monsters and Kids Team (includes you too, now).
Risks and challenges
The production of the game is relatively simple. Building the box and packaging it is also a straightforward job. The biggest challenge we can deal right now with is the delivery of the game to the people who pledge from all over the world. We have already worked out the logistics and delivery services and only hope it goes as we planned to deliver the game safely and quickly. We don't want to delay in any way from our side and will make sure to begin the distribution process as soon as our campaign ends. We're trying to keep it as simple as possible: Please support our project and we'll send you our game.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
