Hi. I’m Suzi Shelton, and I make music for kids.
I am excited to say that I’m recording my third family album called “Smile In My Heart,” and I can’t wait to share it with you!
We’re working hard finishing up these 12 new songs, and 3 music videos...including one that was filmed right here in Brooklyn, NY at our local fire station, Ladder 122. The song "Go, Fire Truck, Go," was co-written by a 4 year old student of mine, named Henry Rivetti, along with my friend Jon Samson, and it has become one of our most requested songs.
The songs on this album are a mix of original and traditional music. Many of the original songs were inspired by my family and the families in my life. The traditional dance tunes have both banjo and fiddle and are just right for grabbing a partner and taking to the dance floor. There is a little bit for everyone.
I feel so lucky to have such an amazing group of musicians, producers, artists, directors and friends contributing to the creative process of this album, along with my own family, who are always by my side - both onstage and off. The whole album comes together, however, by my awesome producer Marc Bazerman. I am truly grateful.
Everyone plays such an important role. Including YOU!
Any contribution that you can give will help to offset production costs, and get us closer to reaching our goal to make "Smile In My Heart" a reality. I’ll keep you updated along the way so that you can stay in touch with me and be a part of the progress. You will get to hear the new songs and see the music videos before anyone else!
I have been making music for kids for over 10 + years, and I can't tell you how much it means to me to have the support from my fans. Seeing little faces light up and watching families dancing together brings me so much joy. It is what it's all about for me. My wish is to continue to bring positive and upbeat music to families, and I know with your help, I will be able to do just that. We hope to bring "Smile In My Heart" into your home sometime in May, 2014.
Thanks for listening and for your support. As always, it means so much to me.
Peace and Love,

Risks and challenges
It's always a challenge (and sometimes overwhelming) to go from inspiration to writing, to recording and producing an entire album, but I have the most amazing team supporting me! My last 2 albums "Simply Suzi" and "No Ordinary Day," produced by Dan Siegler, have been well received and have won some very prestigious awards, and I hope to keep the positive energy flowing. From my super-supportive family to the incredible musicians, artists, directors and producers (both for the music and the music videos)...I have a great group helping to put all of the pieces together for you.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
