Hero Havoc is a card game set in a light-hearted fantasy world where champions from across the lands gather and battle their army of Heroes against each other for ultimate glory.
In a Russian roulette fashion, players must tactically place cards into the middle, which are then randomly dealt out to each player. This means that each card you play can affect any other player, including yourself! Running low on heroes? Play a healing card. Want to finish off an opponent? Play a sword card. But be careful, that sword might just end up pointing right back at you!
Warriors and wizards, angels and demons and even a Hydra wearing a coat! Anyone can join us at the table and test their luck, but only one champion can survive!
Each player starts with 3 cards in their hand and 3 heroes laid out in front of them. Add the red sword card to the middle.
After drawing a card, players can activate any hero power with a ‘1’ in the bottom left corner of the card.
Now players add a card to the middle.
The middle pile is shuffled and each player is dealt one card.
One by one, players flip their dealt card. Now is the time to activate any hero power with a ‘2’ in the bottom left corner of the card.
If it’s a blue spell card, it activates immediately, otherwise we continue until all players have flipped their card.
Once all players have flipped their card, one by one, activate them! If you get the dreaded red sword (or take damage in any other way), choose the hero to lose a health. If a hero has no health, it is destroyed.
Continue playing until there is only one champion standing!
Each deck of Hero Havoc comes with:
- 18x Heroes
- 2x Backer created Heroes
- 1x Lord Alphadrax (Special Hero)
- 1x Red Sword
- 35x Normal Cards (Including 5x Rouges & 8x Swords)
- 6x Spell Cards
- 6x Heart Cards
- 3x Rule Cards
The heart cards are simply there for your convenience, as keeping track of when heroes gain life can potentially become confusing. However, they are in no way vital to playing and enjoying the game!
Shipping will be FREE within the UK!
As we are based in the UK and only a small indie team, we unfortunately cannot provide the same overseas. So there will be a £10 shipping fee for anywhere outside of the UK.
All overseas shipping will be tracked.
If, when the time comes, there are any problems with receiving your package, you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your queries.
Quote Unquote Gaming is a small indie team of Video Game Tech (and one Journalism) students. We all bring a lot to the table in terms of skills and personality. Over the past two years we have each worked on various projects together that all involve in some way, the making of a game. Let's meet the team!
Hero Havoc originally started as a piece of university coursework, but very quickly it became a great passion of all of ours. Now we are hoping that Hero Havoc can be a successful kick-start (hehe) to our careers.

Risks and challenges
This being our first Kickstarter project is a challenge in itself, but we all have experience in making games and are confident in our ability to ship the game once the Kickstarter has completed.
The manufacturing and distribution is something we have thought long and hard about. The packaging is really the only problem we face right now. However, with the £450 stretch goal, the problem is no more! If not, you will have to provide your own way of keeping the cards safe, so let's make sure we hit that goal!
We decided on setting the goal of the Kickstarter low because the game is finished and basically ready to send! We wanted to lower the risk of the project failing, so everyone will still get the chance to receive the game.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
