About

Oak Park Brewing Company has been in the works for over 2 years. We want to bring our award winning British and Belgian beers with a "West Coast Edge" to Sacramento, and beyond. The brewery will focus on initially producing a base of six “wide appeal” beers such as ESB, Imperial Stout, IPA, and Belgian Monk’s Brown Ale (see www.opbrewco.com for detailed description of our beer-styles). In addition we will feature two or more rotating “specialty beers” at a time. One of these will be “seasonal”, such as a Christmas Ale during the holidays, and the other will be a limited release “Big Beer” such as a Belgian Strong, Barleywine, Imperial IPA, or our award-winning Robust Porter. We will also have an extensive barrel-aging program for beers such as Bourbon-Barrel Aged Imperial Stout and our sour and wild beers. These specialty beers could replace any of, or be added to, the “standard beers” should consumer preference dictate such a change.
We will be a production brewery, but we also want to bring a high-quality gastropub to the community of Oak Park to help showcase our beers and contribute to the growth of this up-and-coming neighborhood. We will showcase hand-made sausages, bread made from our spent grains, and much more - a step above your typical bar food - all made seasonally from the freshest local ingredients in true Farm-to-Fork fashion. We are scheduled to open at 3514 Broadway in Sacramento in early Summer.

We've worked with an architect, applied for our licensing and building permits, and purchased our brewery equipment and most of our kitchen equipment. We'll be creating a space with a Victorian Industrial/Steampunk feel, full of pipes, valves, and pressure gauges all set in a gritty, exposed-brick building with old hand-built trusses and exposed steel.

We started brewing at home in Oak Park. Our commitment to the Oak Park neighborhood and it's redevelopment has earned us some great press, and all of our fans are excited to see us open. We believe that our brewery will be a significant contribution to the revitalization of Oak Park, and your contribution helps make that happen.

We need you
We've been fund-raising tirelessly and we've almost met our goals. We are turning to Kickstarter to help make the project a success. We already have a 7-barrel brewing system, plenty of fermentation capacity, lots of serving tanks, and a full kitchen. We are looking to raise $30,000 for ingredients and to finish building out the taphouse (hops are expensive!) so we can fill all of those serving tanks with our great beer and serve it to all of you. Without your support we won't be able to have all of our recipes on tap when we open, or some of the furnishings for you to enjoy them on.
Rewards

We also have a Beer Connoisseur reward package. You will get special Oak Park Brewing Company Connoisseur t-shirts, access to VIP events, - including release parties for our limited-release barrel-aged ales and sours, but most important of all... you'll be served in a special Connoisseur Glass when you're at the brewery so people will know you're part of an awesome group of Oak Park Brewing Company Supporters.
We will also have a VIP Grand Opening Gala at our brewpub. Contributing at this level gets you into the event, where you will mingle with other supporters, get the chance to taste all of Oak Park Brewing Company's initial releases AND be the first to try our gastropub specialties.
More rewards are listed under each donation level.
Stretch Goals
Okay Beer Fans, if we can get to $40,000 we can buy more kegs so we can deliver kegs to your favorite watering hole within the city and beyond! We will be able to increase our distribution outside of Greater Sacramento!
If we can get to $50,000 Tom & Dave can get that nifty automated keg-washer and have more time to brew beer instead of cleaning kegs. That means more beer for all of you!
Risks and challenges
We have our equipment and a great team, we've even lined up some early distribution deals for our beer, so the risks are limited and mostly impact our patrons experience in the taproom. We want everyone to have an amazing experience, so we're looking for your help to get there.
