June 11 Special Event & Livestream, plus New Oculus Logo

On June 11, we’re holding a special press event in San Francisco. We’ll be talking about the future of virtual reality, gaming, the Rift, and more.

We invite you to join the livestream starting 10am PT Thursday morning on Oculus.com and Twitch.tv

You can visit oculus.com and click the ‘Add to My Calendar’ button to quickly add the livestream details to your calendar for a reminder to tune in when the event begins.

New Oculus Logo

Virtual reality has come a long way since Oculus started in 2012. That progress is a direct result of you - the community of developers, creators, and believers who have been on this journey with us since the start.

As we take another step toward true consumer virtual reality and next-generation VR gaming, we’re excited to share an evolution of the Oculus logo with you today:

We’ve just updated Oculus.com with this new logo, and you’ll see it begin to flow across the rest of Oculus in the next few weeks. We hope you like the design as much as we do.

We’ll see you Thursday!

Really disappointed by this change of logo. The previous was a lot more iconic and descriptive than this. I don't think it's ugly. But fall way short when compared to what you already had. :/

I also liked the old logo better. This one would be hard to recognize as a particular brand. If you were to stamp it on a case, a shirt, a door, a flag ect. without the name it wouldn't even register as a logo to most people who saw it. If someone showed me this logo and asked what it was for, at first I would be confused and would think that only one feature of their vector file was showing, then I would guess it's for go-cart racing.

I liked the other logo more. Can't wait to see what's in store for us consumers! I'm hoping for several units for different budgets. I'm personally interested in a higher end version though :)

      Blow our minds, guys!

I can't say i'm a fan of the new logo, but I am looking forward to seeing what Oculus is going to exhibit during this year's E3.

Um... That has to be the most simplistic logo of all time, surely it must have been trademarked already?
