When this campaign was first launched, I knew that I had never run a kickstarter campaign before, but I also knew that the designer and I had an awesome game concept to present to other gamers...a game premise that had never quite been done before. The designer and I both firmly believed that other real gamers would also see its great potential.

Well, not knowing any better, I hadn't primed this campaign by spending months making announcements or spamming facebook or whatever other kickstarter creators normally do, and I simply relied on a heavy advertising campaign across a half-dozen websites for the whole month of March...believing that this very cool game would sell itself! Looking back, I probably should have gotten the word out well ahead of launching this kickstarter campaign, but I am glad that my instincts were right that you all would see how awesome this game could be, and that would be enough to carry us through.

But, less than a few days into the campaign, I suddenly received an e-mail from somebody who urgently implored me to immediately cancel the whole campaign and let him have it instead. He wrote to me that we had no chance to succeed, but that he would at least guarantee me that he'd have the game made, and that the designer and I would get a few complimentary copies apiece. And yet, he seemed to have no particular passion for the game itself as far as I could tell; it was apparent to me that it would simply be one of several projects that he could make a quick buck from and then move on without a care for how it all came out. Ah, but instincts again told me that he must nevertheless see the potential in this game! Ergo, if HE recognizes this game's potential, then so would other veteran gamers, I was sure.

      And so you did.

So, this is my long-winded and overdue way of thanking and congratulating every one of you for making this game into a reality. You saw the potential, and so I also want to remind and assure everybody that all of my effort and energy will now be devoted to making this game as incredible as you anticipate it will be. You are going to receive the best kickstarter product in terms of aesthetics, quality, and playability, and you have my guarantee that every effort will be devoted to making this a very fine game.

Thank you all again, and stay tuned for more updates in time as we move ahead with the manufacturing process, and eventually final assembly, and ultimately shipment!

Over the course of next week, I'll be contacting everybody to confirm their order and get their shipping information.

Thanks again and God bless,

Eric Harvey

      Chris,
Oh absolutely, yes. I know that the best way to catch any rules issues is to post them publicly. We're a ways off from that yet, however, as the rules will have to undergo quite a bit more scrutiny.

Congrats! Good luck in the next phase - now the hard work begins. Have you thought about releasing the rule book to backers early? That could help alleviate some errors and issues very early on. Just a thought!

#MadProps Eric! Glad you allowed so many to help you tell that guy to pack sand!!

I wish I had last night, what I have today - an Easter Bonus. Glad I could at least chip in and be in the loop.

Thanks for your support and well wishes. My entire focus now is going to be to produce the best-looking game I can, with all the bells and whistles possible. I keep hearing about these stories of some kickstarter campaign not producing the product they advertised, which amazes and appalls me. I couldn't sleep at night. But besides that, I dropped all other projects this year to focus on this (I actually have one lingering project that I am wrapping up, but otherwise will be able to focus entirely on this baby!) :-)

Congratulation on a successful kickstarter. ^^
I glad you went with your gut instinct and didn't cancel the campaign. I have supported a successful campaign where the campaign manager got the kickstarter money and disappeared. The creator of the board game was left with nothing - unless a lot of angry backers counts.

Well, isn't that what KICKSTARTER is all about?! AWESOME! I'm so excited to see you succeed in your project, and I'm very happy to be a part of it!

Congrats on a successful Kickstarter! Can't wait to add this game to my collection.
