NOW FEATURED on Crowdfundfusion.com!
THE OTHER SIDE is an indie drama about a young Hasidic Jewish boy who turns to the outside world for help in exposing a crime being committed within his community. In the process his family and world are turned upside down and he comes to question all that he has believed in.
The film takes audiences into a world that they rarely get to see on screen - the secretive Hasidic enclave that exists in the midst of bustling, Brooklyn, NY. They are surrounded by artists and nomads and the pull of temptation that threatens their way of life.
Sexual abuse in religious communities is a hot button issue in our culture and THE OTHER SIDE brings the silence surrounding this crime to the forefront. This film has the ability to explore unexpected similarities in very different worlds as our characters grow, fail, and triumph.

OUR TSHIRT!!!! Help us Break the Silence by getting our shirt!
Our script has received consistently high reviews on the prestigious website The Black List and is a semi-finalist in 2 screenplay competitions. We will use the funds to make the amazing script come to life. We want to bring in a name actor to play the Rabbi and are using a fantastic casting director to make that happen. We have many resources in Brooklyn and believe that we have budgeted the film appropriately. The $50,000 we are asking for is what we need in order to really start this process so we can raise the rest of the money. We plan to start principal photography in August, 2014.

Risks and challenges
Our goal is to start principal photography in August. It's possible this could get pushed to September or October (due to actor/crew conflicts) which would make a finished film more likely a few months later. We are utilizing all of our resources to make sure that we make the film in a timely and also creatively wonderful manner.
Our team is committed to this exciting and very relevant project and will make this film happen no matter what. Thank you so much for your support for our film, for the cause.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
