Inspired by shows like 30 Rock, Portlandia, and High Maintenance, MAID TO ORDER is the story of a struggling actress who creates a cleaning business to earn some extra cash. Cue the dirt, laughter, and tears.
What sets our show apart- besides the hilarious writing, acting, and story lines, is that that series is built to be interactive. We want to hear what YOU have to say, and are giving you the opportunity to help us write it.
Some of our perks allow you to write a line, appear in an episode, or even have an episode structured around YOU. Of course, you get the satisfaction of also having your name in the credits. Bazingggo!
Other prizes and perks are memorabilia and props from the actual teaser. Get a piece of it while you still can! Seriously- we only bought one Donald Trump hat.
This quirky comedy follows Margot, an aspiring actress, who can't seem to make ends meet. Tired of being poor, she starts a cleaning business with hopes of paying her rent. Can she keep her morals intact while still following her dreams of stardom?
MARGOT is a perky, very naive girl who was raised as part of a religious cult in which its members identify as one sexless gender (her parents choice).
She was deprived of many things that people take for granted; television, pop culture, slang sayings of the 90’s. Eager to learn and stay hip, she’s very familiar with 90’s sayings and entertainment. Since her childhood was a little stunted, she just wants to experience all the world has to offer.
JUNE is a hippy, guided by her inner being. She was born into a gypsy family who came into money later on in life, after suing a large corporation for poisoning their water supply in the cow pasture they were were living at. She still has some residual ticks that come out in times of stress. She’s wired to be on the move, always be inventive, and not get too attached.
As a youngster, I graced the stage of my elementary school’s cafeteria in my very first play. It was Sleeping Beauty, and I was the princess. I loved acting, despite being convinced my prince had cooties. After that, I made the decision to perform for the rest of my life.
I earned a scholarship to college for theatre, and upon graduating, have worked in film, TV, and commercials. I’ve co-starred in three television shows this year (Homicide Hunter, House of Cards).
Of course—that’s the glossy side of things. The other part is when I’ve waited tables for awful/terrible people (AKA, the general public), or gotten attacked by kids when I was hired to be a princess at children’s birthday parties, or modeled the MOST UNCOMFORTABLE dental wear in order to pay those pesky bills. The list is endless- and perfect inspiration for this series.
Margot is so relatable- because she's all of us. She has hopes and dreams, and is just trying to stay afloat in this bumpy, sticky, and glorious world. Her story of desperation, and determination is one that has been forming over my 24 years of living, and I can't wait to share it.
With the help of our team, and YOU; we can do this. Your pledge means the world.
Something that sets Maid to Order apart is the plan for contributions from our audience. We want to hear what the people want!
We have Social Media pages as well as an email and plan on having contests to get pieces of our story from our fans. We have a team of writers- but we really want Maid to Order to be the culmination of a boat-load of creativity from the masses.
We also plan on having several sponsors for the series to help keep it afloat. Costume companies, cleaning supplies, weird food items- you name it!

Risks and challenges
Budget and scheduling are huge risks. We fully funded our Pilot Episode with money from our own pockets, but Maid to Order will not come to life without your help.
We have a modest budget of $10,000 for 10 episodes. Per episode, we have to spend money on the following items:
-Cast and Crew
Our model is to keep each episode at $1,000, but each script will have different requirements.
We're all full-time freelancers, so our livelihood is dependent on making it in this industry. We eagerly take jobs as they come, which can result in projects getting delayed. If we reach our goal, we'll be able to do things the right way and block out a schedule, ensuring that Maid to Order graces computer screens all over the world.
Once we meet our halfway point, we'll release the first Episode!
