I'd love to see minis for games like FIRED UP! ETERNAL MOMENTS!
BONES 3. BONES 3. BONES 3. BONES 4. oh wait, one step at a time.
The reaper site is down. It just says "user error".
Finally finished my free system-neutral one-page adventure using (almost) all of the Bones from KS1. Enjoy. http://ironregime.blogspot.com/2014/05/amid-reapers-scattered-bones.html
For those who are looking for an old-school setting to use all of their not-so-new Bones in, the City State of the Invincible Overlord can use your help. I'll let the folks at Reaper post a link if they choose to do so, since Kickstarter frowns upon backers doing that kind of thing... I don't see how it would be an issue in a closed project, but I'm a gamer, so I follow the rules when they are clearly stated. :-)
9 Storm giants. Some of which are really amazing. If you look at one bones painting article this week, make this the one! http://caffeineforge.com/2014/01/27/monday-miniatures-storm-giant/
7 strumpets a strutting. I really think they need to be added to the 12 days of Christmas. What about you?
Quick question: is the S&W pdf older or newer than the PDF you can download at http://www.swordsandwizardry.com/… ? They look similar, but I'm unsure which is more recent, and if there are differences.
This week we painted some creepy crawlies!

The goblins this week are outstanding. Very hard to pick a favorite this week!
This comment has been removed by Kickstarter.
Some great owlbears were painted this week. Take a look.
Reaper's started their "12 Days of Reaper" promotion. $35 purchase gets you the mini of the day and free domestic shipping. Internationals, who have to pay more for free shipping, may be interested in that $65 also gets you 10 free Bones miniatures, about a $25 value.
There is is a new update of Wild Card Creator [Adding Hellfrost and War of the Dead]. Just in time for the 400th Reaper Bones Savage Worlds stat block.
150 or so to go.
@David: It is unfortunate that you misunderstood what you were paying for. Reaper was not trying to deceive anyone with the Sophie boxed set offered in this KS; all the models included are ones that are no longer in production, and have only ever been offered as limited-time availability in the past. As such, you can not pay any amount of money to "purchase" and of those figures from Reaper in retail at this time, and the secondary market for each of those figures is often double (if not more) their original retail price during their limited availability period. The only thing that makes no sense is that you think you should be able to buy 10 well-sculpted, multi-part metal models for $1 each (your claim of 10x what they are worth).
Be pissed at yourself for not understanding what you were getting and how much you were paying for it; that's your mistake. Reaper didn't cheat you.
Just thought I'd pop a quick not here to say that Reaper customer service was awesome and processed my request for a missing component very quickly. It was quite amusing to get such a big box for such a small piece though! Thanks guys.
just realised due to the overwhelming number of updates for this project I screwed up my pledge and ordered some dodgy ass Sophie metal miniatures and a lame tshirt for about 10x what they are worth! I could have sworn the update said increase by $10 to get this extra level, makes no sense that someone would pay 110$ for that petty amount of product when everyone else a scores a collection. I'm not impressed at all, seems like it was placed there just to throw consumers off.
To clarify, Parcelforce runs the International Centre where all international packages are processed, but Border Force are the ones who have to go and inspect it. So its in a Parcelforce building in the care of Border Force... I think.
I just received my Bones today. I rang up customs (I think on 0845 010 9000, my notes are a mess) and it turned out that my letter to them with all the proof etc was 'lost in the post'. They weren't keen on getting letters either but the fax number they recommended didn't work. In the end I posted another letter first class and, just in case, sent another letter by next day special delivery. Having to get someone to sign for it seemed to do the trick. I would recommend sending your evidence again with proof of postage and making sure somebody signs it.
@Anthony it depends on where exactly your parcel is but it ought to be Border Force if its a customs issue. Possibly Border Force told you to contact Parcelforce because they want you to call up the International Centre (I've collected a lot of numbers trying to find out what happened to my Bones, try 0845 010 9000 or 0300 200 3700, that's the number I called to learn what happened to my letter). It seems that customs is heavily sectioned and I'm not even sure if the other sections know the other ones exist.
Reaper, for their part, were a little patronizing. Probably because my question sounded just like a million braindead emails they get every day during a Kickstarter - but for a while it had seemed that Parcelforce had returned my parcel back to them and had been trying to contact them.
I'm just glad its over. The Bones are lovely mind. Cthulhu is awesome. Particularly love the BBEGs too.
@George definitely e-mail them again, once I got in contact again after the wait period they took care of my issues very efficiently. Just be clear as to the details and if you want to avoid having to e-mail back and forth a bit, use the numbers off the reaper website that identify the pieces in question.
Reaper have been awesome about getting back to me and very polite. Them being rude would be very odd.
@ George: you should try again.
Pejay have you had any luck with anyone about customs? Parcelforce have told me it's nothing to do with them and border force have told me to contact parcelforce
Reaper are absolutely useless at getting back to you. I asked them a question on the off-chance they'd received a request from customs and they got back relatively quickly, just were bloody rude.
How do I go about correcting a problem that has not been resolved with my U.S. order. I notified Reaper in August via email that there was a problem (missing Forces of Nature miniature) and still no response. Any suggestions?
No, it should be in your vampire box instead.
Is there supposed to be a sorceress in the box with Kaladrax?
The 14th Sep. was the second time I send a message telling that I haven't received any of my staff nor notification or tracking number.
A month later (yesterday)I get a reply that my order "shows it was processed on 7/16/13".
I replied back asking for my tracking number to see where my package is.
And now I'm on stasis.
I know that feeling Anthony
44 days after arriving in uk customs, and 30 days since providing proof of payment, and my parcel is still there. I think they're having a laugh
Wrong KS too :-)
This might have been asked before:
I use the pledge calculator, see that I have to up to 283,03.
Press the PLEDGE button on the right (which should take me to the 'manage your pledge page of this KS)... but nothing happens... Is that normal? It also doesn't save my choices if I exit the screen?
... wrong Kickstarter.
Looking for more Genies (Mariads, Primordials, Proteans, etc) and more lower level demons and devils. Having said that I think once the instructions for ordering more pieces of the core set go live, we'll see a decent bump.
Got the missing leg, base & cthullu about a week ago so while it may take a while, it certainly looks like they are going the extra mile to make sure all the problems get resolved.
Finally got my parcel yesterday in the UK after delays through customs, usual botched delivery from ParcelForce, etc. VERY impressed with the models. The material is much better than I expected after reading reviews and the detail is more than sharp enough given my mediocre painting skills.
@David Zammit: I'm in Sydney, and still waiting - shipped August 23rd, but nothing after that. Emailing Reaper this weekend to see if they can get any info out of USPS, as they wouldn't help me. Hopefully I'll get them before the Bones II kickstarter ends, as I won't be backing it without seeing the product...
Mine have also just arrived, hoping they look amazing.
My bones are finally here ... and the very first bad I open is a mispack (fire giant missing a hand). Sigh.
I have yet to receive notification tht the package has been shipped so I'm guessing it hasn't even left the states yet, a lot of other backers in Sydney have received there ones
just backed bones 2 also weeeeee
Hi. Just wanted to drop in and see if people were still posting on the first Reaper Kickstarter now that the second has launched.
Good luck to you who are still waiting. I'm guessing you're mostly international. I hope you enjoy the Bones when they arrive.
@Andrew -- I did. Got two of 'em. Haven't DONE anything with them yet though.
Did anyone ever receive their figure cases from this Kickstarter?
Reaper posted some interesting financial data in an update for Bones II, summarizing the expenses from Bones I:
Yay! My goodies arrived today. I only got the letter from Border Force on Monday, so they turned it round pretty quick once they got to it and just made the 6 week mark for handling! Looks like everything I ordered, but I'll have to wait till tonight to get the time to check properly. My those big models are BIIIIIGGGG!!!
*Border Force has NOT responded
Sorry, missed a very important bit there.
Still waiting for my order. ;_;
My package was posted on the 19th August and customs sent me a letter that arrived 9th September. I replied immediately with all my paperwork (proof of value etc). Borderforce has responded and everyone around Border Force (HMRC, Parcelforce) are telling me they can't do anything yet. I guess I will have to send them another letter.
@Andrew Nope Im still waiting for mine too, customs are really dragging their feet in processing it, going to wait for my parcel before I contemplate going in on number 2, the models do look good though
