Logline: On the verge of being stuck in a small Mississippi town, a vampire obsessed dork must rescue his mother from killer vampires: but when he finds out that he is the heir to the vampire Kingdom, he must embrace his vampire side or risk losing everything.
New Orleans, LA An 18 wheeler appears from the east and grinds a man into the pavement. The trucker, TERESA, stops and checks on the man she has just pancaked, and he miraculously revives. They succumb to an instant, animallike attraction, and start the cab of her truck rocking on its air shocks. Twenty one years, later, we are at a grocery store in the small town of Innsville, Mississippi.
CARLOS, Dracula’s son, who is unaware that he is an actual vampire tries to be accepted by a local live roleplaying vampire cult called “VAG”.
MARY BETH, his trusted ex-con, lesbian, alcoholic friend tries to give him life and girl advice. Meanwhile, Dracula introduces a sweeping, new age initiative to transition from consuming human blood to animal blood in order to foster a lasting peace with humankind. While a minority of the council approve of his scheme, most of the carnivorous vampires, led by Sebastian, are outraged. We join Carlos and Mary Beth in a bar celebrating her birthday. Over the course of the night, Carlos neglects to take the medication that suppresses his vampire side. He suddenly can’t control the urge to bite his boss. Mary Beth drags him out of there before things get out of hand and he drunkenly signs up for Tinder. In a clever ambush, Sebastian drugs and drains Dracula, killing him and captures Teresa. He makes Dracula’s death look like a suicide to the other vampires and takes control over the vampire kingdom. When Sebastian gets Dracula’s memory visions through his blood, he learns about Carlos and dispatches ACAN, a morbidly obese vampire to Innsville with orders to hunt him down.
Acan descends upon the grocery store, hunting for Carlos. The Assistant Manager informs him that Carlos will be at his Vampire Allegiance Guild (or VAG) meeting. Carlos gets a message on his new Tinder account; it’s Ysabel, wanting to set up a date. When Acan finds the VAG meeting at Denny’s, Carlos and the VAG members mistake him for a visiting Texas member and invite him to join their role playing game. Acan does well at the game until a technicality results in him losing a round. Enraged, Acan unleashes his real vampire fury, and literally tears apart the VAG players. Carlos was in the front room and is unaware of the massacre that has just taken place.
He leaves the restaurant to get ready for his date with Ysabel. Sebastian breaks into his therapist, Dr. Atherton’s home office so he can have an emergency session. She tells him she has been diagnosed with cancer, and doesn’t have much more time to live. Sebastian, unable to fathom life without his therapist, turns her into a vampire. Ysabel finds Carlos and Mary Beth, and they proceed to play a game of cat and mouse with Acan and his henchmen through rural swamps and back roads all the way back to New Orleans. Ysabel gets captured, leaving Carlos and Mary Beth on their own in the big city. Back at the vampire mansion, Sebastian dupes Ysabel into a “couples” therapy session with his new vampire therapist. In New Orleans, Carlos and Mary Beth, desperate for allies, track down the originators of the Vampire Allegiance Guild game. They call themselves “The Coalition of Covert Knights” (C.O.C.K for short) . This oddball collection of goth fashion disasters know vampires are real, and have been covertly observing them. The C.O.C.K comes up with a plan to break into the vampire’s mansion to rescue Teresa and Ysabel. At the mansion, Sebastian must leave the couples therapy to greet the remaining member of the Vampire High Council, as well as other vampire leaders from all over the world. Ysabel manages to escape her bonds. The C.O.C.K, along with Carlos and Mary Beth, get inside the mansion, unaware that Ysabel is helping them every step of the way. Carlos gets separated from the group and finds his mother. He frees her and attempts to rejoin his friends, but runs into Sebastian. Just as Acan and his men capture Mary Beth, Carlos and the others are taken prisoner as well. Sebastian shows Carlos off to the vampires as they feast on his halfbreed blood. Ysabel gets to the C.O.C.K and Mary Beth and sets them and the Draculaloyal vampires free. Ysabel and Sebastian fight their way all over the mansion. Theirs is but one fight in the chaos of good versus evil vampires that ensues. The C.O.C.K frees Carlos, but he is weak from blood loss and appears near death. Mary Beth feeds him her alcoholic blood, saving his life, and sacrificing her’s in the process. Sebastian gains the upper hand on Ysabel, but before he can deliver a fatal blow, Carlos stops him with a stunning roundhouse kick. They fight their way outside. The other action dies down as the good vampires subdue their evil counterparts. Sebastian, sensing defeat, attempts to get Carlos to join him, but that’s not happening. Carlos gets the upperhand and sinks his teeth into Sebastian but stops right before he killing him. He absorbs all of Sebastian’s and Dracula’s memories. With Sebastian defeated, Carlos rushes over to Mary Beth, who has died from being drained. Ysabel cuts her wrist, feeds it to Mary Beth and is able to turn her into a vampire. Mary Beth recovers, with a pair of newly sprouting fangs. Carlos addresses the heads of vampire state gathered there, and thus begins the era of the vampire nation’s new leader, Count Carlos.
