This film is a character piece kind of story. Set during the summer of 1962 in the town of Aspen -- a small city nustled in the mountains. The story follows a recent high-school graduate who's gotten a job as a janitor at a mental institution. Akin to the janitorial position, and to much of his father's chagrin, Eric Spring takes the job as it gives him an excuse to be left alone. There's one problem though --and I'm sure everyone has encountered it -- Eric wants to be left alone but he doesn't want to be lonely. As the summer runs by Eric observes how bitterness and loneliness move people to act the way they do. He sees it in his family, in his work, and in himself. Throughout the summer he watches as people morn, replace, and deceive themselves into happiness. This is a slice-of-life story, no beginning, no middle, no end just a reflection -- like most art. What could be more intriguing than trying to understand an underlying conflict of human thought? What the film lacks in rapid car chases and rattling violence I promise will be made up for in realism, intimacy, and authenticity. :)
Thank you for becoming apart of it!!! You have no idea how excited I am!
