Update #1

This is One Poster You Can Own

When we first discussed the idea of creating a special category and award for music posters in our Biennial competition, we knew the one designer we simply had to include on our jury: Niklaus Troxler. He has been the organizer and designer of the Willisau (Switzerland) Jazz Concerts since 1966 and the Willisau Jazz Festival since 1975. His hundreds of music posters designed over the past four decades make him the elder statesman of this genre in the world. Over his career, Troxler has been awarded the grand prize or first prize in 17 international design competitions for his posters. This poster, designed for the 3rd Chicago International Poster Biennial can be yours with a pledge. Anyone pledging $250 or more is guaranteed to receive this poster--one of the seven jury posters in the set. Posters will be printed at 24 X 36 inches (60 X 90 cm). For $500 or more, get one that is signed and numbered. Please encourage your friends to make a pledge to ensure this project happens!
