This project has 3 main goals:
1. To record a quality, 10 song album about ocean animals.
2. To make animated music videos.
3. To make educational children's books from our music and self publish them.
How will the money be used?
We are slated to begin recording in January. We will use the funds from this campaign to record, mix, master, and print 1,000 CD's. We are working with a new producer to make our best sounding album to date!
The album will contain songs about Manta Rays, Blue Whales, Coral Reefs, Manatees, Starfish, Angler Fish and Sea Turtles, to name a few! There will be a total of 10 exciting tracks, spanning several genres of music!
Your pledges will help us bring our songs to life like never before! We are talking with local animators right now and getting geared up to bring our new song about Angler Fish to life in a music video. We have begun sketching the storyboard, and are excited to meet with our animator this month!
Funds from this campaign will also help us publish our very own children's books. Right now, a local artist is illustrating "Dinosaurs" (from our last album "Science and Wonder") and we will have it ready for the CD release party in April. We have several other songs that will translate into amazing stories, and we look forward to publishing several children's books in the near future!
Risks and challenges
We know it is a lot of work to do in a short amount of time, but we feel very confident that this project will be finished on schedule. This is our third album, so we have a really good idea of how the studio process works. The music videos and books will be created by a third party, and that helps us focus on making our best album yet! The band is dedicated, efficient, and inspired to complete this project successfully!
Your pledges will help us make the most of our time and creative energy. Our main goal is to enrich kids' lives through quality, educational music and books, and inspire them to be the next generation of creators!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
