What is Dropout all about?
It's comedic web series about a passionate, hot-headed kid who feels like school isn't getting him anywhere, so he drops out. It's not glamorizing dropping out, but rather telling the story of a 17-year-old who is prematurely forced into the real world -- and the challenges and friends he meets along the way.
What's the gameplan?
We're making eight episodes for the first season, with each episode running around 10 minutes long. That means about eighty minutes of content! Whoa...
Why we need your support!
As we mentioned, we'll be filming a lot of content, and will need to cover our main costs, such as...
2) Equipment rentals/purchases
3) Insurance and permit costs
4) Food food food!
5) Probably Aaron's hair products.
Why we're qualified to make this series!
Everyone in the main crew is a rising senior in the USC Film program, many of whom are already working producers, directors, editors and writers.
We've spent the past three years (and more) learning how to tell a great story and make great films. Between the main crew members, we've worked on web series, short films, features, and professional music videos.
