This project is all about creating a PC video game that has been a long time coming, at least for me. This game has some similarities to familiar games like Mario in that it will have platforms and spaces to get to, but it will also have things you'll need to find on your own.
As I said in the video,this is a story driven game. I want the story to carry you and interest you to want to keep going. The story will make you laugh quite often because, after all, I'm a goofy person. Humor is a great way to interact and helps to move the game along as well.
What we are doing with the money:
Well there are quite a few fees that have to be considered when doing any crowdfunding projects. That should go without saying.
With this project helping to shift me into working on this full time a great deal of the proceeds are going to help with that. The rest will go towards fees and getting this game legally set.
I have found that Kickstarter is a great place for games to get the traction they need to get off the ground. People in the community seem more genuine and helpful. One of the biggest reasons is that more people feel safe in pledging here. There are many polices that help the backers as well as the teams.
Milestones for Kickstarter:
End of Week 1: I will be posting updates about the progress that I'm making on the game-play video. Also sending thank you's to all the current backers, because without their support this couldn't happen. - DONE!
End of Week 2: GAME-PLAY FOOTAGE!!! Goal is to have it up before the end of the second week. Again sending more thank you's out to backers. - DONE EARLY!
End of Week 3: My Twitch channel will be doing a live 24 Extra Life Charity event to help raise money for them and spread awareness for the Kickstarter as well. Same as before, I'll send even more thank you's to all my backers.
End of Week 4: This is the home stretch. Live stream going up of the live countdown to the final hours of the Kickstarter. Saying a personal thank you's to everyone involved to help make this happen.
Milestones for Project - Chubby Ninja:
One: Early/Late November. This first milestone is to get all the information I'll need from all my backers (e-mail and addresses for the shipping) so that I can send out the first wave of rewards. Also the information on names for the various characters and places in the game that was part of the rewards.
Two: Mid January (first alpha). The first 5 levels are completed and released for the backers to do some play testing. I’ll sit down with them about their play through so I have notes of improvements that need to be added.
Three: Mid Feburary (second alpha). The next 5 levels will be released with some of the input from the first alpha testing. While the second alpha is being played, I will apply the rest of the notes from first alpha.
Four: Mid/Late March (third alpha). The last 3 levels (unless we have stretch goals to fill) are released for play testing while notes from alpha two are applied.
Five: Early/Mid April (Beta stage). All levels will be released for play testing from beginning to end. This is nearly the end of development and want everything to be perfect!
Six: Early/Mid May. Prepare for launch! Bugs are gone and polish things up for release date.
I've set the release date to be end in May so there is plenty of time to overcome any challenge that might arise.
I want this game to come out as badly as you guys do and this will happen!

Risks and challenges
The risks associated with Kickstarter are obvious and don’t need to be repeated.
Challenges I face with the project are:
I have a deep background in programming so my artistic skills are limited. This means I will need to dedicate more time into making the art fit the theme we are shooting for with this game.
Also can be said with audio. This game is going to have many special sounds so this too will be a challenge. Spending time on this will need to be done early as possible.
