Version Française ici…

The Cthul'orc is finally coming out of the darkness!

As an ancient orc god, banished by his peers for obscure reasons that only the gods can understand, he lurks in the darkness of the Abyss waiting for his time. His power allowed him to open a chasm leading to his cursed world. He awaits the one whose body can receive his divine and evil power.

The Cthul'orc is armed with a boat anchor. He was probably a sea orc god. His ban may explain why Orcs don't like swimming or sailing. With his massive weapon, he can mow down his enemies and break them like straw. His evil aura can alter Badass's power and making it difficult for him to support his protégés. Moreover, the lower the number of Badass points, the more powerful, even invulnerable, the Cthul'orc becomes. He also generates spectra around him to harass intruders who dare to face him.

Nothing can prepare you for this walking nightmare, not even your worst nightmare. Tremble, poor orcs, tremble!

Now that you have freed the Cthul'Orc, the Quest Box expansion "Greedy and Doomed" is now unlocked!

Contemplate your doing, you mere mortals!

In any story, there is always a beginning and an end. In the story that leads our heroes to try and stop the plans of conquest of Istarra over the Bloody Woods, there are so many adventures to be lived and so many varied dangers, that at a certain point they deviate from their main route. And what better way to begin than to face a Troll, only to wrap it up by facing a fallen orc deity?

In the heart of the Bloody Woods, Abgral lives in his den strewn with bones. Leading a quiet life, he is happy to devour animals and intruders not careful enough to approach his territory. Perhaps it would be enough to encourage him to come out of his boring existence with a little fight in order to benefit from his presence when facing the Kingdom of Istarra.

In the far north, beneath the frozen ground and snow, a chasm opens on the final test for ours orcs, as they come to perform their last act of heroism. The fallen god who has been waiting there for them will be able to finally find the host who will help him leaving his abyssal prison.

"Greedy&Doomed" is a new extension that will enrich the OrcQuest universe with new enemies. With the two Secondary Quests included, your heroes will be able to measure themselves, between two Chapters of your Campaign, against two frightening monsters, giving rise to epic and intense battles.

Meet in the heart of the Bloody Woods, in Abgral's Cave, strewn with skulls and sharp bones, and face the Laughing Troll. Entertain him and maybe he'll accompany you on your quest!

Finish your adventure in cataclysmic apotheosis in front of Cthul'orc, a fallen orc deity, waiting for his hour to return, incarnated in the body of a host worthy of his power, in order to devastate everything in his path. Be glorious or be doomed forever!

Abgral likes to make friends, but to make sure he has quality friends he will be happy to accompany, he usually tests them. If he is not satisfied, he has no qualms about devouring those who disturb him.

His mace is his favorite weapon and it can make a lot of damage. As long as he holds it in his hand, the heroes may get flattened. His extreme resistance can also be a problem. His ability to regenerate can quickly get him back on his feet, and you have to neutralize him to be able to put the Troll down.

It will be necessary to beware of his reactions, going from the repulsive fart, to the blows of fangs or to his devastating mace.

It is certain that before setting off on an adventure, confronting a Troll can be the perfect appetizer.

Abgral’s Cave

Abgral's Cave is a cave on the ground strewn with bones of all kinds. The Troll casually throws the rest of his meals to the ground, forming a macabre mat of bones and skulls.

In Abgral's Cave, whoever spends 2 Action Points to move must roll 1 white Attack die and suffer as much damage, as he will not have paid attention where he is walking.

The Abyss

Far to the north, where snow covers everything in the horizon, where the cold is so intense that it would freeze a molten volcano, a chasm has recently opened in the icy ground. At the bottom of this depths, a magic door has opened to another dimension: the Abyss. A place of nightmares, ghosts lurk to catch any intruder and damn them for eternity.

The Abyss tiles represent a place of nightmare for the Orc Heroes, where they will have to show themselves brave not to sink into madness. Beware of what might come out of the depths of darkness.

Abgral’s Appetite

Welcome to Abgral's Cave. Lined with bones, it will be necessary not to be too abrupt to move. The Troll welcomes you with joy, but you will have to prove to him that you are worthy of his presence.

This Secondary Quest can be played as a prelude to the Main Campaign, to prepare Heroes to face the toughest enemies, such as Monsters and Bosses.

Terror of the Abyss

An orc god has been cursed and banished into the darkness of the Abyss. He has lived there for thousands of years, ready to jump on intruders disturbing his sleep. However, if he finds the host allowing him to pass through the magic door in the other direction, death and chaos will spread all over the world.

Heroes crazy enough to measure themselves against the entity will have to show bravery. Their enemy is the worst they have ever encountered. But to reach it, you will have to face the ghosts of the enemies the heroes have defeated in their quest.

To reach the end of the Abyss and defeat the cursed orc god, mix all your Enemy Presence Tokens at your disposal. On the first tile, all will react at the yellow level of their Behavior; on the second, all will react at the orange level; and on the third, all will react at the red level.

This Secondary Quest can either be played independently of the Main Campaign or as a final mission, in an epic cataclysmic apotheosis.

Hoodoo’s Wand

What Abgral used to scratch his back was actually a Magic Relic. Hoodoo's Wand! Its power can influence Badass's power in combat. But its use requires sacrifice. In fact, you must discard a Leather Resource card, whatever its value, to use the Hoodoo’s Wand.

Abyssal Anchor

The Abyssal Anchor possesses the power of the fallen god who brandished it. The more Badass Points there are, the more devastating it becomes. However, using its divine power costs energy: either its carrier will suffer injuries or spend several Badass Points. The Abyssal Anchor can also be used as a normal heavy weapon.

The Eye of the Damned

The Eye of the Damned is the very eye of the banished god. It contains a terrible power. It allows you to relive the adventures of Orc heroes with all their equipment and skills. However, enemies will be tougher and more determined, their Behavior will always be in red, unless the heroes' skills can alter it.

Trolls are also part of the green skins, even if their blue tint may leave some doubt. They live near orc villages, sometimes in small groups or alone when food is difficult to share. Trolls are voracious because their imposing organism requires a lot of energy.

Abgral is a Troll appreciated by his kindness. His lively and talkative character tends to annoy or delight his peers. He is always up for a good fight, and especially for a good meal, not hesitating to devour everything he can. He is also a real Brute, not hesitating to use tree trunks as a club to flatten out his enemies.

Abgral starts his adventure with three Skills:

  • “Movement": Abgral can move normally. However, in narrow corridors and through doors, his movement is divided by 2. .
  • "Combat" allows him to make melee attacks.
  • "Hungry" is a combat boost skill. If there is one health point left on a target he has just injured, it is killed immediately.

Abgral's mischievous and playful temperament can create a mess around him, inconveniencing those around him.

  • "It’s not me" All Heroes around Abgral must retreat one square.
  • "Moah ah ah ah!" On a Flash result out of 1 Badass die, the Alert Level increases by 1. Enemies in Line of Sight use 1 White die for Enemy Behavior.

What, have you read everything so far? Wow! And on top of that, you released the great Cthul'Orc far ahead of schedule?

Wait, I'm going to go through my drawers...

Ah, here, I have something.... Ooh, there! She's mean, that one! Help me unlock her, it can be very funny!

@vvedge, I was actually thinking a cursed Carribean pirate orc. Wonder if I can model some pirate boots on him.

@Crazy Celt : just forget the Cthulu background and come up with your own
      Orc shaman's bad experiment

Not thrilled with Cthulha Orc. I just do not see how this fits in with all the other items in this campaign. I do not mind the orc being a cross with something, but just not Cthulha.

@MAZE GAME : if that's another BIG fig, just show its silhouette and I may upgrade my EB to Troll'in just to help unlock it :)

@BartW : count me in your minority side... but I also love the fig because it's big :)
And we got a box, so everything will have its place
@Grolleau François : definitely a Hero as the cards pattern match, and can't imagine them throwing a new mini after this (finally not) "final" BIG Cthul'orc so it would have been a good guess... but @Lilin made a point... or maybe they forgot this point in this end of campaign crazyness !
As for the pattern I'm talking about : Hero have 3 starting skills and 8+4+3 others skills ; we can see that on the right ; then comes the sheet in the middle and I think 2 event, 1 loot and 4 kraft cards on the left
But if there is no fig, the only "she" making sense is Gnoll Matriarch... then maybe a fig after all !
