The kingdom of Istarra
Orcs! Our first two days of raid have been intense. A lot of Stretch goals have been unlocked. You have been ruthless! We are proud of you! Nonetheless, the fight isn´t over and we will need to prepare our weapons for the next battle.
Now that we are in enemy territory, we should take our time to get familiar with those that are about to be crushed.
In the lands that spread over the Great Continent, there are five major races: the humans, the barbarians, the elves, the dwarves and the orcs. Throughout the centuries, alliances have been created amongst four of the races. As for orcs, there was never a peaceful time, due to their unpredictable, belligerent attitude.
As time passed, the human kingdom of Istarra started expanding by assimilating other human kingdoms around it, but that never fulfilled the conquering thirst of their lords. Orcs live hidden in the immense forests of the kingdom, only showing up for pillaging villages, lay siege on holdfasts or hunt intruders out of the hoods.
Even though the Era of heroes has been gone for over a century, a new Era has been born: the conquest Era. Wishing to further extend its frontiers, the kingdom of Istarra is now trying to conquer the forests inhabited by the orcs.
Its throughout these troubling times for Orcs that you will live the adventures of OrcQuest WarPath...
The humans who populate Istarra are arrogant, and they think they're the center of the world. Their multiple victorious conquests have allowed them to extend their kingdom and have given them a sense of invulnerability.
It's under the banner of the Royal Rooster that the army of Istarra marches towards their enemies. Soldiers obsessed with discipline and resilient knights are at the center of this military force. They have been the perfect target for some slapping and kicking by Orcs, for a long time.
The army of Istarra is one of the first ones to have ever used powder weapons, which has allowed them to have destructive, lightning fast victories against their opponents. Each officer is a merciless being who inspires obedience among their ranks.
Even if there are no emblematic heroes left in Istarra, there is still a bit of the hero heritage left. Although the school of magic of the Great Royal Academy has been closed due to a lack of voluntary candidates, there is still Lothar, the Great Enchanter, descendant of the saviors of the realm, and known as the Hand of the King.
The royal zoo possesses a strange bestiary with creatures coming both from far away kingdoms and neighboring grounds. Huge fawns, titanic pachyderms, as well as bizarre water cows and different species of monkeys are a living proof of the kingdom´s victorious quests. The favorite animal is the Cockatrix, a remote cousin of the royal rooster emblem. She symbolizes the egocentric expression of the kingdom of Istarra. The rooster can transform itself into a destructive conquering monster.
Now that we know a bit more about the forces of Istarra, our heroes can be better prepared to face the dangers awaiting them. One must not underestimate the enemy, and most of all, we must hit fast, strong... and discretely, because as soon as an enemy falls, other ten will arrive as a reinforcement.
