Johnny Rocketfingers is a hardened stick figure who can beat the shit out of anybody he pleases at any given moment. He lives alone in a slummy apartment only to be kept company by his drug habit and alcohol addiction.

Imagine a game with the quality of storytelling, puzzles and humor of Monkey Island infused with the grittiness and cinematic stylishness of Scorsese and Tarantino movies. Combine that with the high-end animation quality of Anime Films and 1940's Cartoons and you get Johnny Rocketfingers 3.
The predominant influence is Monkey Island 1 & 2 and Day of the Tentacle. Gritty live action films are also an influence so the Adventure Game genre fits perfectly as it leans heavily toward story.
Johnny has cut scenes which involve action, but they are mostly not interactive. It is like watching a movie. When the cut scene is over, the player then begins exploring environments, picking up objects and solving puzzles. Essentially the gameplay is akin to Monkey Island but Johnny Rocketfingers has a different art style with adult themes.
Sierra games had the adult themes which is where I draw my other influence (Police Quest, Gabriel Knight, Leisure Suit Larry). But in Johnny Rocketfingers you won’t get screwed over by getting killed or not having picked up the right item. Johnny will die a plenty, but you will resume right back to the choice which led to your death.
The drawing style, violence and adult themes may not be LucasArts style. But here is what is:

Johnny Rocketfingers 3 is not a flash game. It will be coded in Unity which is software that can export to PC, Mac, Linux, Mobile Devices and Consoles. One of the intended distribution platforms is Steam. Johnny 3 is packed with so many cut scenes that it plays like an animated film in addition to being an interactive point and click adventure game. It has a grandiose movie-length story that consists of five episodes total. Each episode will be roughly 3 hours of game play and will end in a crazy twist that is only answered in the next episode. The $88,000 goal is for the first episode alone. Stretch goals will have to be reached in order to produce the remaining 4 episodes. Each episode has it's own, self-contained story with a beginning, middle and conclusion; and each story has a solid ending so you are not left hanging. However, after the story concludes, a NEW mystery/question is revealed/asked - which leads into the next episode. The animation in Johnny Rocketfingers 3 will be hand drawn, frame by frame animation. Essentially Golden-Age quality animation which, while difficult and expensive, feels the most alive.

I have been working professionally in the animation industry for over seven years and am currently a storyboard artist at Nickelodeon Animation Studios in Burbank, CA. In the past I have worked on projects such as Metalocalypse, Trip Tank, Dick Figures the Movie and China IL.
My obsession with adventure games began in 1990 when my dad purchased our first computer, an IBM 286, accompanied by our first computer game, "The Secret of Monkey Island," a pirate-themed point and click adventure set in the Caribbean. Before that day I had only played "Lemmings" and "Oregon Trail." Monkey Island was immersive, engrossing and engaging in ways that I had never before experienced in a video game.
When Monkey Island 2 came out I became hooked on adventure games indefinitely and after playing other titles such as "Loom," "Day of the Tentacle" and "Fate of Atlantis," it became clear to me that adventure games were my all time favorite genre.
In 2003 I made a point and click adventure of my own called "Johnny Rocketfingers." It gained popularity online and one year later I was commissioned by Conspiracy Games to make a sequel. The sequel was much more elaborate than the first game with a grander story and tougher puzzles. It debuted in 2006 and was a big hit online.
In his first flash adventure game he "helps" a local prostitute by rescuing her daughter from neighborhood street thugs. In his second flash adventure he steals from a drug dealer who turns out to be a high ranking member of a secret gangster society called "Thug Inc."
What ridiculous scenarios will Johnny fight through in his third outlandish adventure?
Flat on his back, Johnny awakens to a nightmarish alien landscape. He does not recall or understand what possible series of events could have stranded him here. Dazed and confused, he pulls himself upward, deciding to explore this strange and certainly dangerous new territory.
Faced with natural obstacles such as chasms, giant bones, fallen rocks and large bodies of water – Johnny must use items he gathers along the way to overcome and pass through these barriers.
Natural obstacles are not Johnny’s only problem. Vicious otherworldly creatures roam this dark and hostile landscape. Giant blood leeches lurk beneath the alien soil. Sea serpents slip around black ominous waters. Savage extraterrestrial tribesmen hunger for Johnny's flesh.
Johnny gets back to his own planet and roams the streets of the projects looking for clues and information in regards to the unsolved mysteries from episode 1.
He encounters bums, gangsters and crackheads. All of whom he shakes down for information or simply gives a thorough beating to.
One particular gangster is not so cooperative. Johnny takes his head and slams it into a splinter-filled, staple covered telephone pole. He then drags the gangsters face down it, resulting in horrible grisly aftermath. After the devastating assault, the gangster is more than willing to tell Johnny anything he wants to know.
Johnny eventually gathers up enough information to track down a mysterious individual with important information and meets him downtown.
The mysterious man turns out to be a scientist who claims to have once worked for the CIA. The scientist ends up having a very interesting proposition for Johnny: Time Travel. An ingredient is needed that only existed in the Earth's Tertiary Period roughly 65 million years ago. The man promises to pay handsomely, half up front. Johnny agrees.
Johnny steps out of the time machine.
Lush foliage and vast plains of unspoiled territory surround him. Giant, strange looking prehistoric mammals roam freely.
Johnny must muscle his way through prehistoric hyenas, bloodthirsty cave monkeys and carnivorous monster birds.
At one point Johnny is captured by a tribe of violent Cave Monkeys. He is taken back to their lair where he is held captive in a primitive bamboo cage until forced to fight their strongest warrior. Through clever puzzle solving and serious ass beating, he escapes.
Shortly afterward he discovers the ingredient that he was sent to retrieve. Gathering up a bountiful supply, he heads back to the time machine and back to the scientist's lab downtown.
Johnny finds himself back at the scientist's laboratory, but in the middle of an intense stand off.
The D.E.A has raided the place. They are pointing extreme automatic weapons at both the scientist and Johnny.
“See!! SEE?! I told you he would return!,” shouts the scientist, “HE is the one you want! He is the one who has been running this entire operation!!”
While Johnny had been away, the scientist had been planting incredible amounts of fraudulent evidence in order to frame Johnny for his own shady practices.
Now, finding himself in court, Johnny is sentenced to 40 years in a maximum security prison.
Ruthless, terrifying, evil convicts now surround Johnny.
He must survive cafeteria confrontations, random attacks, and deadly gang fights in the prison courtyard.
While in prison, Johnny meets another convict who was also framed by the scientist. He gives Johnny crucial information regarding the scientist's plans and tells him where he will be holding his final twisted operation.
EPISODE 5 (FINALE)
Broken out of prison, Johnny tracks down the scientist and his henchmen. Upon finding them at an abandoned steel factory, Johnny walks in and proceeds to hand out healthy doses of ass beating. Struggles, twists and turns ensue in Johnny's attempt to halt the evil maniac from executing his diabolical plan.

Risks and challenges
Animation is one of the most difficult and time consuming art mediums of all time which makes it an enormous challenge. Especially when the animation is "frame by frame," which means the artist is drawing a brand new drawing for every frame of animation. This technique is not typically used because it is so time consuming and expensive. However, I feel it looks the best and is worth the tremendous amount of effort. Usual risks in animation involve projects going over budget and over deadline because animation is a tough process to gauge.
